We sold the store gipper, it was a great idea and learned a lot....Stuff like don't put your store too far outside the populace and partnerships are a great idea on paper but different in the real world.... We did make a little money on the investment so it could have been worse. Poet laureate of Skybox.....
Gipper needs to get season tickets to the Gators. I have mine still for the upcoming season but am very likely to let them go after that. To far to travel, to many not so great games and my HD TV calls my name on game days. Add the upcoming SEC Network that I am going to have and lots of games to watch at home. The downside being two of my grandkids are at UF now and a couple of more are likely to be there within the next couple of years. Then I have one granddaughter that looks like she is going to attend Appalachian starting next fall and that is a lot closer to what is now home.
I hear ya, Bill. South Bend is 2.5 to 3 hours north of where I live, but I have found that I'm very comfortable watching the games on my big screen TV. Perhaps it's an age thing. Perhaps it's escalating ticket prices. Perhaps it's the late night drive home. Whatever the reason, I won't be attending nearly as many games in the future as I have in the past.
