OK, couldn't sleep so it is slightly later in the week... here are the banquet awards: The French wanna be award: This award goes to the member that rose the white flag the quickest. For this year, that “honor” belongs to TBuckNuts for dropping out after 5 weeks. Fitz, not wanting this award for the second year in a row, reentered the contest handing the honor to TBuck.. The Domestic Violence award: This award goes to the gentleman or lady that beat his or her spouse by the larger margin. This year’s honor goes to JO’Co! Treefrog beat RoGator by 10 points. Lady Vol beat Dooley’s Orange (broken) Machine by the same 10 points. JO’Co spanked :shock: mrsjoco by 42 points! He may have won the battle, but the war may have just begun! 8) The Wrecker or Checker award: This award is given to the member who either finished High or Low… not much in between. This year’s award goes to FL Bucks. He had 6 top ten finishes, but finished all the way down in 20th . Had a lot to do with missing the last week which dropped him 13 positions from his 7th place week 13 ranking!!! The Top 10 NOT award: goes to the member that competed at least 10 weeks who had the least amount of top ten finishes: This award goes to THE CORNHUSKER. He had Zero top ten finishes and takes this award for the second year in a row! Could have had something to do with his 20 point rule. The Mr. Inconsistent award: This award goes to the person with the most weekly wins while having the least top 10 weekly finishes. This year, the honor goes to IrishWeDidntSuck (which they didn’t!). He picks up this award for the second year in a row. He had 2 weekly wins (tied for the most) and 7 total top 10’s making 29% of his top ten’s being wins. The Mrs. Consistent award: This award goes to the member that finished the highest without ever having a weekly win. This year, this honor goes to TreeFrog finishing in second place with seven top ten finishes and zero weekly wins. The “I am Woman hear me roar” award: this award goes to the highest placing female in the group. This year’s award goes to TreeFrog who placed 14th last year and climbed to 2nd this year. The Big Ten winner: The Big Ten fans on the board compete for the top position for their conference. This year’s Big Ten winner is John Deere. Congrats! The 12Pac winner: (Corey, mrsjoco, and JO’Co are Irish first so they do not compete in this category). The 12Pac fans on the board compete for the top position for their conference. This year’s 12Pac winner is Bear Down Rick. Congrats! The SEC winner: The SEC fans on the board compete for the top position for their conference. This year’s SEC winner is Treefrog. Congrats! The Independent winner a.k.a. the highest ND finisher: The ND fans on the board compete for the top position for their conference. This year’s winner is Gipicks. Not hard to win this one when you win the 1st place trophy. He wins this award for the second year in a row. Congrats! The Moderator division winner: This award goes to the highest placing moderator on the board. This year’s Moderator winner is Dooley’s Orange Machine. He wins this award for the second year in a row. Congrats! Third place: Her 5th place finish in the final week was enough to move her up two positions to 3rd place. The winner of this year’s 3rd place trophy is Lady Vol. Congrats! Second place: By week 4, this member moved up into 4th place and and never dropped below 4th for the remainder of the contest. This year’s second place trophy goes to Treefrog. Congrats! First place: This year’s winner started in 21st place in week one. By week 3, he was inside the top 10 where he stayed for the remainder of the contest. He made 1st place overall by week 13 and held that position in the final week. This years 1st place trophy goes to Gipicks! Congrats!!!
It took almost a whole season to overcome a really stupid mistake. In week 4 I hit the wrong button and ended up picking Auburn to beat LSU. I burned 19 confidence points on that fubar.
Well, the drill and fill didn't really apply this year. I'll have to think on this one... OK, here it goes... The "2030 projected winner" award: This award is given to the member that is the farthest down in the rankings while still showing a one position move up from last year thus making the slow climb up the rankings one position at a time. This year's award goes to LoneStarIrish for moving up from 19th last year to 18th this year. Congrats??? 8)
Not sure but I think I have a good string of top 10's. Didn't get there till the last week this year. Almost fired the cat.

After a few weeks, I noticed that I had the exact, same number of wins as Lady Vol, but she was about 50 points ahead of me. My problem wasn't picking winners, it was allocating the points. Once I fixed that my scores improved... Not drinking when I make my picks helps a lot too... re: mrs. joco She was beating me through most of the season. That's what motivated me to improve my scores. I never gave a damn before... Fear is a great motivator...........Machiavelli
