Tom, I have a couple firsts and a second...will look the trophy's up next week when I get home. I'm in Sapphire, NC this week. Don't ask where it is...I have no clue.

The guys were wearing leather helmets the years I won.

Kes missed his picks, at least the first three giving AJ chance to catch up with him... What a sportsman! 8)

Not sure how many games will be in the contest next week. Last year, I believe it was seven. We should know by Tuesday.

    LAST WEEK!

We have 14 games for a total point total of 105 available points. Much better than I suspected.

This means that 10th place is mathematically eliminated from finishing in 1st place but anyone above 14th can place in one of the three top spots. However, the potability of 1st through 3rd coming from anything other that those sitting in 1st thru 6th is pretty low.

    Get your picks in!

At 105 possible points, even 22nd spot has a chance of a final placement in the top 10.

Get those picks in... two Friday games this week.

I running the scenarios, there is the possibility that we have a tie for third place. The site will pick a 3rd and 4th place. In the event of a tie in the final score, the order displayed on the site will prevail.

Didn't look at this scenario... If my numbers are correct, we are going to have a tie for first and a tie for third (one of the first place members drops to second). That will be the only two ties. The closest finish in the history of this contest.

We will have to wait for the official results that should be out tomorrow for you, tonight for me. Stay tuned for the "Banquet Awards Presentation" to come along with the official Top 3 trophy positions.

Gator Bill wins the final week of the contest. Congrats!

Looks like the system picked John Deere as the winner, what is the criteria in case of a tie? Is John Deere one of the Ryckmans?

They probably use overall record as a tiebreaker...Bobda was 190-84 and Mike was 194-80.

Terry, yes...that's Mike, my son in Dayton. (the wirebending dentista)

Yes, it appears that overall record is the tie breaker. It fits the third place tie as well.

Now for the Awards Banquet Presentation!

The French wanna be award: This award goes to the member that rose the white flag the quickest. For this year, that “honor” belongs to Fitz for his one and done performance. Tim Gentry gave him a run for his money but Fitz valiantly held on to his struggle to remain in contention for this award.

The Wrecker or Checker award: This award is given to the member who either finished High or Low… not much in between. This years award goes to Bryanspicks. He had 7 top ten finishes, a first place, five second places, and a third place. No other top ten finishes awarded and he finished tied for 3rd place.

The Top 10 NOT award: goes to the member that competed at least 10 weeks who had the least amount of top ten finishes: This award goes to NOTYOURDADSBIGTEN. He had 2 top ten finishes. Could have had something to do with his 20 point rule.

The Mr. Inconsistent award: This award goes to the person with the most weekly wins while having the least top 10 weekly finishes. This year, the honor goes to IrishPickedMoreWinners. He had 2 weekly wins (tied for the most) and 6 total top 10’s making 33% of his top ten’s being wins.

The Mr. Consistent award: This award goes to the member that finished the highest without ever having a weekly win. This year, this honor goes to John Deere finishing in first place (actually tied for first) with eleven top ten finishes and zero weekly wins.

The “I am Woman hear me roar” award: this award goes to the highest placing female in the group. This year’s award goes to Lady Vol falling from a second place finish last year to a 6th place finish this year.

The Big Ten winner: The Big Ten fans on the board compete for the top position for their conference. This year’s Big Ten winner is John Deere. Not only did he beat the other Big Ten members (edging out Return of Lloyd by a tie breaker), he beat everyone. Congrats!

The 12Pac winner: (Corey and JO’Co are Irish first so they do not compete in this category). The 12Pac fans on the board compete for the top position for their conference. This year’s 12Pac winner is Bear Down Rick. Congrats!

The SEC winner: The SEC fans on the board compete for the top position for their conference. This year’s SEC winner is Bryanspicks. Congrats!

The Independent winner a.k.a. the highest ND finisher: The ND fans on the board compete for the top position for their conference. This year’s winner is Gipicks. Congrats!

The Moderator division winner: This award goes to the highest placing moderator on the board. This year’s Moderator winner is Dooley’s Orange Machine. Congrats!

Third place: An 11th place finish in the final week for One and a 2nd place for the other created a tie for third place between Dooley’s Orange Machine and Bryanspicks that had to be settled by the Yahoo site. The winner of this year’s 3rd place trophy as picked by the site tiebreaker criteria is Bryanspicks. Congrats and please send me an e-mail with your address to receive the trophy.

Second place: This year’s second place winner started in 7th place in week one. By week two, he had jumped into first place. He never relinquished that position for the duration of the contest but fell to a tie for first in the last week. The site dropped him to second. This year’s second place trophy winner is Return of Lloyd. Congrats and please send me an e-mail with your address to receive the trophy.

First place: By week 4, this member had slipped into 2nd place and stayed there for the remainder of the contest until tieing for first in the last week. Tiebreaker goes to him. He moves up from the 3rd place trophy last year to the first place trophy this year. This year’s first place trophy goes to John Deere. Congrats and please send me an e-mail with your address and the full name to be placed on the trophy.

Fact: John Deere is a much bigger B10 fan than anything else.

Fact: He went undergrad to Centre College and then attended University of Kentucky dental school. He is a bigger fan of OSU and all things B10 but he loves Ky especially hoops.

I would opine that he deserves the B10 fan award but Bobda would maybe have grounds to protest. :)
