Not so fast, my friend! I do believe I will be picking up some points this week yet again, and am well on my way to winning the third week of the year. Did we ever come to a decision on how many dozen weeks to extend the season to give me a chance?
If it meant that the teams would keep playing, I'd lobby for about 6 more weeks. I like my team with Tyler Bray at the helm.
TreeFrog leaps into the lead this week with PJMIII winning the week. One more week to decide the top three. If I had to guess, the final top three will probably be: 1) TreeFrog, 2) LadyVol, and 3) John Deere PL ------ TP ----- DP ---- Team name 01 --- 1961 --- 108 --- Treefrog 02 --- 1955 --- 095 --- Dooley's Orange Machine 03 --- 1950 --- 104 --- John Deere 04 --- 1949 --- 113 --- Lady Vol 05 --- 1948 --- 000 --- FL Bucks 06 --- 1921 --- 107 --- Boondock Muskies 07 --- 1918 --- 085 --- AggieScott 08 --- 1914 --- 000 --- Bear Down Rick 09 --- 1907 --- 105 --- JO'Co 10 --- 1906 --- 099 --- Stu's Cat 11 --- 1885 --- 093 --- Foxchase 12 --- 1882 --- 000 --- SpreadEm 13 --- 1870 --- 101 --- RoGator 14 --- 1859 --- 000 --- Geek Tragedy 15 --- 1856 --- 084 --- kp 16 --- 1848 --- 103 --- Don Ballard 17 --- 1827 --- 091 --- bama-bo 18 --- 1818 --- 084 --- Irishboy 19 --- 1813 --- 000 --- PJMIII 20 --- 1749 --- 000 --- Fitz 21 --- 1702 --- 000 --- North Carolina Gators 22 --- 1696 --- 087 --- El Paso Sandblasters 23 --- 1599 --- 000 --- Bryanspicks 24 --- 1528 --- 000 --- LoneStarIrish
It's the possibility of having to bring up dropped score weeks due to 15 games or less in next week's schedule. She has a 12 point advantage on me if that happens.
I have a few awards to pass out while we are waiting for the final games. Some are still up in the air but a few can be posted. The Exit Stage Left award: Given to the participant who threw in the towel the earliest and most often. This award goes to GORT for the “One and Out” performance for the second year in a row.
The Moderator Division award: Given to the participant that is a board moderator and beats the other two moderators: Since the other two moderators missed 3 and 4 weeks, this award was a runaway for: Dooley’s Orange Machine. Congrats to me!
I think the moderator division should be determined on the # of weeks that all moderators made picks!!!
The Free Falling award: The first multiple award winning participant in the contest. This award is for the person that fell the most positions from the first week through the last week: This years Free Falling award goes to the participant that was in 5th position in week 1 and quickly dropped to 27th and stayed there: Congrats (I think) to GORT.
A one year anomaly for the Moderator Division. Next year Terry and I will remember to enter then Tom is in trouble.
The Oh Crap!! my wife beat me award: Given to the guy that let his wife beat him like a red headed step child. Thank God for RoGator being in this contest and finishing around 9 positions below his wife so that I did not have to take this award home with me! Yes, this award goes to RoGator. Congrats (I think) to Neil!
The Dropped Week award: Given to the participant who garnered the highest ranking while taking advantage of the dropped week rule: This award goes to Florida Bucks finishing a few spots out of the top 10 Congrats Jeremy.
The Hard Charger award: Given to the participant who gained the most positions from the first week to the final week. There were several people in line for this award. Geek Tragedy went from 27th ending up in 18th. KP started at 26th and ended up 13th. Foxchase started in 21st and ended 9th. The award goes to KP. Congrats to Kyle.
Third place trophy goes to the participant that was in the overall top ten every week except week number 1 where he came in 13th. Third place goes to one of the Ryckman family: John Deere. Congrats to Mike
Second place trophy goes to the participant that started week 1 in 10th place and fell all the way to 14th before making her move up starting in week 8. I’ll never hear the end of this but the second place trophy goes to: LadyVol. Congrats to Cindy on a remarkable second half come back.
