This surprises me. I would not have guessed they'd be that high on the list, just because Indiana is not among the largest states. I wonder who #1 and #2 are.
I wonder how they come up with the 490K living graduates number. It must be some sort of estimate based on actuarial death tables. There is no way they'd actually know if they had 490K living graduates. I wonder how many Texas has, I would think our enrollment has been much more than IU for a long time. Terry
Also for the record IU dental school has a very good reputation. A researcher at IU by the name of Ralph Phillips was one of the most infleuential dental materials guys of the 20th century. We used his textbook at Texas. The current holder of the Phillips chair at IU dental school is James Platt who's father was a Ft. Wayne Dentist.
Sid, I could be wrong, but I believe it is Penn State and Michigan. I know Texas is up there. Indiana is a surprise.
