I wonder if Texas will close the deal with somebody for the baseball coaching job soon. The UF coach reportedly turned them down.

    Scott,
As Sid pointed out earlier, baseball is not quite like football and basketball. Strange things can happen! Still a great season for the Aggies.

    Totally agree with you Sid/Don.
It is a crazy game. I just hope Boomer White woke up this morning and realized that.
He booted a perfect double play ball that would have ended the inning before it started.
Did I mention he played in the CWS for TCU in 2014?
Do you think he might have been pressing a little bit?
It was a fun season for sure...

And not being said is that A&M was among the best baseball teams in 2016

Congratulations to the Florida Gators as well after shutting out the Seminoles 7-0 to advance to Omah!

1st day is in the books with Arizona and Ok St moving to the winner's bracket.

For Ralph's sake I hope I'm wrong but the Canes sure looked a lot like my Aggies in their last game: tight and playing not to lose rather than doing what they've done all season.

Gulp, both the Canes and Gators gone after two games....Doesn't say a lot about the season rankings does it..Congrats to the winners, I'm hoping for a Coastal Carolina vs UC Santa Barbara at this point...

Pretty sad over the results, wishing the baseball draft could wait a few weeks so it would not create the bedlum during the most critical time of the year..

Gators lose two one run games in a row and are home until next year.

Oh well now the long dry spell until football season starts.

Could be an all Big 12 Final?

I am loving it that Coastal Carolina has made it this far, I hope they have a little more left in them as Arizona has been simply dominant the entire series.

I was reading an article this morning and they were saying Costal Carolina is a very loose group and having a ball in the tournament. Maybe that is the secret to their success?

    That and good players. :D

Seriously, Don, I think you're on to something. Did you see when the two CC players got behind the cute on-field reporter and clowned around? You gotta love these guys.

It's noteworthy that, 1) all seeded top 5 conference teams were eliminated, and 2) the AZ rookie coach was a TX asst. last year. Terry, you think TX fans are wishing he hadn't left?

    What a crazy CWS!
Not 0nly all top seeds gone but both teams came from the loser bracket!

    Awesome.

Loose has a lot to with it. The Aggies were tighter than a 8 day clock once the tournament started and it showed.

Nothing against Rick's Cats but Im pulling for the Chickens.

Arizona is going to be difficult to beat. Some great pitching on their part.

A correction. Rick informed me that the Arizona coach did not come from Texas. He came from Nevada, where he had been the head coach. There was a rookie head coach of a team in the tournament who had been a Texas assistant last year. Between the super regionals and the CWS, I mistakenly ID'd the Arizona coach as that person.

So Terry, those teasing comments about Texas fans wishing he hadn't left Texas.......Never mind. :D

Costal Carolina survives again for a chance to play for all the marbles this evening.

How can you not root for this team?
