Sorry for being late to congratulate the Gators for a great weekend series, work is taking way too much time right now. Awesome series for your kids they are certainly deserving of their high rank. Aggie pitching has now fallen face down in the mud for both SEC road trips. Not sure what the problem is... But I doubt Coach Childress figures it out. He never seems to have the answer to get us from "Good" to "Great"...
Well I counted 7 teams representing the ACC in that 1-23 poll, how about that....Go ACC....And 20 teams representing areas below the Mason Dixon line..How is that even possible....?
http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/college/acc/university-of-miami/article70457997.html What the....I'm positive a Cuban sandwhich or two was offered as well....
Interesting Ralph, I don't really blame the Irish. Even at home they are underdogs to Miami, but in Coral Gables it's likely a slam dunk lost series. For them it's better to have the series snowed out than play them in Coral Gables.
LOL, I have no blame at all on the Irish Terry, you described it best that every scenario is better if they play up there... I'm blown away that the Miami administration (Think of squeaky noises when they walk) even offered to pay for the Irish to come to Miami, that is very out of character for them in all kind of ways... If I'm Notre Dame I would make those tropical Cuban descendants playing for Miami play in the snow as well....
That white stuff piled up in the background doesn't go very well with baseball...FYI, the Irish accepted Miami's offer to come south and play but the ACC denied them from doing so...
See? Playing in northern weather wasn't so bad. Thank goodness the other two games were cancelled. This may be the only time this year that they wear those knit hats. They're pretty cool....if you're a Canes fan.
Rahahaha...There is SNOW in my other picture, I have followed Cane baseball since I've been 15 and never seen snow and Cane baseball mentioned in the same sentence... I was checking out those knit hats earlier, I'm thinking the pop,pom on top of those knit hats went out of style fifty years ago, I wonder what box in the archive room they dug them out of...
Gotta bring this one back to the top after Kyle Simonds throws a no hitter for the Aggies against top 10 Vandy this afternoon. An error kept it from being a perfect game. WOW!
Congrats on the Ag's series with Vandy! A no hitter, wow. I wish I could have that feeling, the Irish and the Longhorns are mired in mediocre seasons. It was only a couple of weeks ago I thought the Irish might be in a good position to finish well and get an at large bid to the NCAA, but that's pretty much done baring us winning the ACC tournament. The Longhorns have struggled all season and are below .500 in the B12 and overall. I can't imagine that Augie will be back, even given that he's a Hall of Fame coach. It's time for a reboot of a once proud and dominant program.
We're down to the last week of the regular season with plenty on the line. The Aggies are trying to secure the SEC West division and possibly a top 8 national seed. Other teams are doing the same or jockeying to be a regional host. And of course there are the teams trying to do enough just to make the field of 64. Honestly I'm not a fan of the conference tourneys but I bet the PAC wishes they had one as a way to get around the chance of sub 500 Utah being their champion.
It's the last day (or two) of the regular season. My Aggies seem to have a top 8 national seed sewn up and are now playing for the regular season SEC crown. Win today and we win the West. Then we wait to see if L$U can win one more against the Gators. Gawd it leaves a rotten taste in my mouth to have to pullfor those coon-@ss mother-f'ers but I want myboys to get the hardware. I'll need a bucket of Listerene tonight. Ralph's Canes also appear to have a top 8 seed in the bag and are jockeying with the Ags for a chance at the overall #1 which seemed to be the Gator's to lose when the final series began. Geaux Tigers! (oh Lord I gotta go throw up now)
