You're on.....what are the stakes? You name it...... Damn, you're tuff man. Guy breaks his leg, tears his ACL then the day before surgery.....wins the US Open. Takes 9 months off for rehab, plays in only 3 tournaments since returning, wins one and at Augusta is within a shot of the lead on the back nine on Sunday. Damn glad I don't work for you!
Wife, 2 kids, recovering from knee surgery(again)....yup he'll continue to win, not as dominantly as in the past and he might get another run sometime in the future...but he might not. Anytime you hear that "I am feeling better than ever" you have to wonder.
But he remains the dominant player in the game today by a very large margin.....imagine anybody else in the game - ever - taking 8 months off to rehab without a single competitive round under their belt performing as he has since his return......he's freaky good. Still..... But I agree about his wife. She would certainly have me preoccupied. I had the pleasure of meeting her in Ireland....she's better looking in person.
If you mean playing on a fractured leg while still winning the US Open I agree. He's played in 3 tournaments since coming back and won 1. 5 players shot better than he in the Masters and you think he won't win a major for 4 or 5 yrs? Wow! You're really down on old Eldrick aren't you?
I just want to be in on the front end of the "what's wrong with Tiger" group! Plus no Pro athlete can sustain the level of drive necessary to dominate like Tiger has in the past. Life catches up with you. As I said, kids, wife, aging body, motivation, etc. Did Nicklaus have to deal with the injurie(s) that Tiger has had to deal with during his prime? I don't remember. Also he designs his schedule to peak with the Majors, each Major that goes by without a win for him, makes the next major even bigger. I think this will make the pressure to win incredible.
My from the hip prediction is looking very interesting. Of course not for the reasons that I imagined when I made it.
