It's nice to have one QB in the fold. Just ask Boob Davie about what happens if your one QB bolts at the last minute. If you sign 2 and one stands out, the other will transfer. Hopefully not after one game like that last loser DJ.
Kendall Moore, 6-2 230 LB from NC gave his verbal to Charlie today. We are getting a lot of solid defensive recruits, more (terms of number and quality) than in a long time. Still need some DL's though. but LB and DB recruiting has been excellent.
Moore <r>kids looks like a very nice pick-up for the Irish. D is looking better all the time. <E>8)</E></r>

Chris Badgers brother made a post on Irish Illustrated in the FourHorsemans Lounge. It's pay so I'll just post a few things. But if you have a membership it's a must read for the ND fan. Code: <i> </i> We arrived in South Bend Saturday afternoon. Coach Hart was there when we arrived. Great guy! We were expecting the coaches to be busy with camp and recruiting. Prior to leaving, all we asked was whether we could meet with Coach Hart or Brown for an hour during the trip. We would do everything else ourselves (see the campus, ect). But after arriving and speaking to Coach Hart only briefly, we were handed a 3-day itinerary with each hour of each day planned out (literally 9 to 9); private meetings were arranged with each coach, campus tours, academic advisors, LDS church meetings, player visits, everything ? the most organized unofficial we’ve been on. Chris spent significant time with all the coaches privately and in groups, sometimes 3-4 coaches at a time. We were really grateful for all they did. I hesitate to speak about Chris experience that weekend without talking to him, but needless to say, it was special (will be another post). The coaches made it really clear that they really wanted Chris and felt he could thrive in their system. The few things that really stood out to us: 1) the mystique oozes from the place. It’s hard for any college football fan not to see/feel that. It’s hard for a recruit who sees that to pass up an opportunity to be a part of that. 2) ND really stresses that they can prepare you for the NFL. Obviously the numbers of those who make it to the next level are low, but ND stressed that they want guys who think they have the talent to make it. They stressed they would do everything they can to help prepare you. 3) Nastiness: they really want to have a fast, nasty and physical defense with Coach Tenuta. Playing on an aggressive, downhill defense fits Chris’ style to the “t”.
Nice post above Doc. What you get from that is that the coaches really have their act together and other schools now bad mouth ND from the "NFL preparation" standpoint. Let's face it, our last two classes were pretty lame NFL talent wise.
Irish pick up another DB in Florida's Spencer Boyd. It's sort of amusing that I know I read that Boyd wanted to do the whole Press Conference with the Hat trick thing ...Georgia hat, Michigan hat, Notre Dame hat....drum roll..pick up UM hat put it down, pick up UGA hat put it down...tada..picks up ND hat and puts it on!!! I guess he didn't tell his dad! Spencer Boyd to ND
ND <r>I have to admit this was a mild surprise to me. He just sounded like he liked michigan a lot. Never hurts to have the parents on you side though:<br/> <QUOTE><s> </e></QUOTE> <br/> <E></E></r>
He's contradicted his dad and says he hasn't made up his mind and he's still having the Press Conference. Bet he and his dad had some words! Pops ruined his hat trick presser!!
ND <r>Terry,<br/> <br/> I saw that too, He is denying his commit to the recruiting services. Hope dad didn't mess this up in his enthusiasm for the kid. <E>8)</E></r>
ND <r>Well Boyd made it official. Seems like a good kid. Right attitude, well spoken. Seems like a ND kid. Coming to ND for all the right reasons. Let's hope he can knock some heads off at the CB position now. <E></E></r>
Boyd <r>Just in case your seriously want to know:<br/> <br/> Cape Coral Florida defensive back Spencer Boyd. He picked the Irish over Michigan and Georgia. <E>8)</E></r>
