    Larry, Im not a recruiting junkie, but I think there are many highly ranked recruits out there who we never hear about because they never would pass muster on the academic side. I don't mean that in a negative sense. It's just that they are more suited to a different kind of program and a different kind of college environment than what is offered by ND.

    For that reason, I'm guessing that there are other schools whose recruiting classes could be more highly ranked.

    My bottom line......Who cares?

    Like Sid I don't pay that much attention to the top 5th graders or watch films of HS kids playing against all different levels of competition. I do know that ND has needed top talent on the D side of the ball and this class certainly has that. We've been woefully short of top talent in the DL and LB area and this class looks like it's going to be filling some big holes.
    And Terry is right. Sometimes guys like Minor are a Major disappointment.

    Kudos to Gip for his brilliant humor. :lol:
    Pssst......Don't breathe a word of this to anyone, but there is a kid in Indianapolis going into the 5th grade who I hear is a top prospect for the recruiting class of 2015. His name is Aaron Brandenburg. He has a younger brother, Logan, who also should be a top prospect for the recruiting class of 2017. Pass the word on to Charlie. :wink:

    Trevor Robinson?
    Etiene Sabino?
    Michael Floyd?

    Anybody else?

    Twin 9-month old sons, Brennan and Kevin. It's a bit soon to assess their future prospects, but they look like 5-star to me. Ahem....that of course is an unbiased opinion. :wink:

    Recruiting

    <r>Terry,<br/>
    <br/>
    As much as I like Brown he may not get in if things fall the wrong way. <br/>
    <br/>
    I want Sabino. He is a good possibility at this point especially since he is visiting this weekend. <br/>
    <br/>
    Robinson would be great but who knows what this kid will do at this point.<br/>
    <br/>
    We really need Floyd and I'm pretty sure we will get him. If Floyd does commit before Brown does I'm not sure if there will be room. Really, the only reason I can see them taking Brown now is for offense instead of D. If Charlie gets Floyd or any other 4star WR Brown may end up on the outside looking in cause I'm pretty sure they are gonna hold on to a couple of tickets for some big name recruits that may fall ND's way but won't announce till Feb. <E>8)</E></r>

    Do you like Brown as a CB or as a WR?

    Chris Harper what are we recruiting him as? Scout has him listed as RB, but the articles say he is an athlete/WR/LB.

    I like Brown as a DB. I'm fairly certain ND is recruiting Harper as a RB.</t>

    You guys are more up on the receivers than I am but I wouldn't take one under 6'1" unless he had blazing speed. We need big athletic receivers. The smurfs are too easily re-directed by the stronger DBs.

    You mean like George West, David Grimes, and Barry Gallup!! :(

    I sure hope guys like Rob Parris, Duval Kamara, DJ Hord step up and beat out those guys. The former are smurfs and the latter are the big WR's you talk about.

    I think Kamara could be the "X" this year. I've heard that Hord is on the slow side as a receiver. West is a possession type receiver . They are hoping that Parris is a Samardzia clone.
