That's enough tee times for 8,000 foursomes.

    That's pretty impressive.

So this guy moves to the Villages and loves playing golf. But his vision isn't what it used to be and he has a hard time following his ball. He complains to his playing partner that he loses too many golf balls because he can't follow the ball and see where it lands.

His playing partner says we should invite Ralph to play with us, he has the eyes of an Eagle, a little memory problem but he'll be able to follow our balls.

So Ralph is added to the group and and on the first Tee, Mike explains to him the importance of watching his golf ball so he won't lose it and it'll speed up play by not looking for so many lost balls. Ralph says no problem I have the eyes of an Eagle.

He then stands behind Mike when he hits his first drive and tells Mike, I've got it no problem. So they go to their golf carts and Mike says I'm glad I've got you along Ralph, I have no clue where that ball went. Ralph says ..What ball? . Moral never count on a guy with short term memory issues even if he has the eyes of an Eagle. ;)

Good Lord, you city slickers....Grab a shotgun or I will lend you one, trust me, I'm your friend...We will shoot a 100 rds of sporting clays at 13 different sites ( or holes) and the one who shoots the most clays wins....Each site is specifically different and will test your ability to shoot from a different area.

If you ask me to play golf I will start analyzing the turf and start making recommendations on Nitrogen for the given area....

Lol, Mike you are the one in charge.....

Is Fort Meyers the closest major airport to your place? What's the driving time from Tampa airport? I know in agriculture that you're always busy. How is the fall for you?

The closest major airport Ft. Myers (One hour from the farm, two from the house) or Punta Gorda (35 minutes from the farm, 1.5 hours from the house).

Yeah the fall time is best, we have some harvesting kick in on the Citrus but nothing major, peaches are finished (We start on Saturday with that harvest).

Now who out there would be interested in visiting Ralph? I was asking about airports because I could pick people up on the way down. I could pretty easily pick up folks in Tampa., Sarasota or Fort Meyers.

Depending on other stuff going on, I'd try to make it if y'all are starting a get-together.

I wouldn't need picked up, but I could pick up a couple folks that fly into Fort Myers.

I hope you guys get something pulled together.
I'd love to drop in on Ralph some time... but it will be to make bacon on the farm, not to chase little dimpled balls around.

Ouch, not how I planned my Saturday but just got back from the emergency room, internal asteroid was diagnosed. Morphine was administered and can I say appreciated is not a strong enough word. I was sweating like OJ Simpson before the parole board before meds were given and praying for relief...

And lucky me it seems I win the prize for the biggest stone in the county at 9mm. So home now, wife at the pharmacy and going to call to setup with a doctor on Monday....

Thanks Scott, I had always hoped to bypass the process but have new found respect for those who endure this on a constant basis. I also wish I wouldn't have read Toms comments earlier in this post on the extraction process.

Bobda even though I appreciate his medicinal approach as it was quite logical I just can't get over that Zimbabwe medical license he has hanging on the wall.

Feeling better gipper, I go to the urologist tomorrow to hear what he says about removing the stone...Beer may be on tap :D

As for peaches it was another terrible season, the weather was just too warm to set a crop as a certain amount of cold is needed to setup the crop. Unfortunately 87 degrees for Christmas is what the Chamber of commerce loves but it doesn't do much for peach production.... :?
