You know, I used to think you were just a dedicated Trump hater...that last comment reveals a lot about you...and why 90% of this board has you on ignore.
Actress Sharon Stone just put a clip on the internet explaining how her grandmother and godmother both died of Covid and now her sister and her sister's husband are both in ICU fighting for their lives. What happened to Herman Cain was probably or could have been a direct result of Trump's Tulsa rally. That's your man in charge of the battle against a pandemic that still has us in it's grips.
I’ll wait for the investigation to be completed and published but this headline from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel seems to suggest that they reached their conclusion about the Kenosha shooting:
[Original answer deleted] Aw **** it...now I'm getting into name calling. I find your smarmy remark using a man's death and your desperate attempt to tie it into your political agenda to be disgusting. I'll leave it at that.
My point is Stu that still the number one battle we face as Americans presently is not street violence in Portland on 13 out of 80 nights but rather it is the 24-7 battle we face vs. Covid-19 and the American deaths it claims every 80 seconds of every day. It is now the 3rd leading cause of death in America and it has our economy and our way of life on hold yet Trump wants to battle over American voters not wanting to get in a crowd physically at the polls by mailing in their ballots. Still he downplays and denies the severity of Covid-19.
Oh, bull...we're doing as well as anybody else. We're walking a tightrope with COVID on one side and immense economic damage on the other. How much is one life worth? I don't know, but we make those economic judgements in just about every aspect of our societies and lives. Five COVID-19 Charts Democrats Can’t Let You Know About And don't bother looking it up...Issues and Insights is Right Biased. But it still contains some facts.
"we're doing as well as anybody else." Not true and we already went through a lot of data related to that. The point is everything we want to accomplish as a nation and the lives we want to live.... and yes that does include sitting my lazy ass in front of the TV on a fall Saturday.... everything right now is being severely impacted by Covid-19. It's been a grind for everybody and a real tragedy for many and we should be doing everything possible to reduce it's impact on our lives.
Actually we are...it's affecting nearly every country. Just look at the stats. Very few have not been hit hard. Many are worse off than us both in terms of death rate and in terms of economic disaster. It's terrible and we have to fight it...but I'm not living in your "we suck the most" world.
Thanks for posting Stu. I keep track of a lot of these stats but these charts are very enlightening. And it's so true that Democratic nay sayers don'w want to see the.
The article posted by Stu was from Issues & Insights, which is rated by Media Bias: The article references American Institute for Economic Research: Lockdowns and Mask Mandates Do Not Lead to Reduced COVID... AIER is rated by Media Bias: Brookings Institution is rate by Media Bias: Per Media Bias, further verification is required before trusting I&I. The reference, AIER with HIGH factual reporting, appears to be as reliable as Brookings Institution with VERY HIGH factual reporting, but oppositely biased. I think we're only supposed to "follow the science" and "trust the experts" previously-approved by Twitter and Facebook. For S&G: CNN is rated by Media Bias: MSNBC is rated by Media Bias: Fox News is rated by Media Bias: Okay Left coalition, answer me this. Are are ALL "news" outlets ridiculously biased and factually deficient, or is it just Fox News? It sure seems like all network "news" sources need to be independently verified, as opposed to the view on the Left that CNN is the bastion of fact. CNN is as reliable and biased as Issues and Insights, and less reliable and more biased than American Institute for Economic Research!
Fox News: We also rate them Mixed factually and borderline Questionable based on poor sourcing and the spreading of conspiracy theories that later must be retracted after being widely shared. Further, Fox News would be rated a Questionable source based on numerous failed fact checks by hosts and pundits, however, straight news reporting is generally reliable, therefore we rate them Mixed for factual reporting. CNN: while straight news reporting falls left-center through bias by omission. We also rate them Mixed for factual reporting due to several failed fact checks by TV hosts. However, news reporting on the website tends to be properly sourced with minimal failed fact checks Both sources are biased with Fox rated as "strongly" right biased but it appears that CNN does slightly better with minimal failed fact checks vs. numerous failed fact checks for Fox News. The comparable news outlets are CNN and Fox.... and CNN looks to compare well based on the info provided.
Chris Hayes of MSNBC in 2020, when commenting upon the Rand Paul incident, claims he supported supposedly similar conduct by Tea Party protestors during the Obama era But, a little research shows him saying quite the opposite:
First of all, CNN spent over 2 years reporting about an non existent "collusion" between the Trump campaign and Russia. While their stories may have been sourced, the sources were the NY Times and Wash. Post both of whom lied their asses off about that story. At the same time stories such as FISA abuse and spying by the Obama administration on Trump and his campaign were completely ignored. Just last week and FBI attorney plead guilty to lying on a FISA application which was the means in which they surveilled the campaign. Second, the major networks have all gotten caught fabricating stories. NBC actually doctored a tape of Zimmerman's call to 911 to make him look worse. ABC showed a film taken at a range in KY and claimed it was Syria. Young Mr. Sandmann is getting rich shoving lies by the media up their's. And lastly, CNN starts out a lie beginning "The NY Times reports....." and outfits like Media Bias claim that what they reported was true. Well it is true that the NY Times reported it, but the underlying story is full of crap. And that's the game they play.
