    re: stupid criminal robbed the same store

    When I was helping Dave Francis with his son's Little League team years ago, we had a player who wasn't like the other boys. He was more like a little girl than a little boy, but he had a blazing fastball, so he played a lot. I always wondered what would happen to a kid like that. He hated his father, ignored his mother and refused to take any kind of instruction whatever. He was living by his own rules, even at that young age...

    Within ten years, he had his "third strike" for robbing a convenience store (with a gun) across the street from his apartment. This gave him a life sentence in California prisons at age 23. He WANTED to live in prison, where he was the darling little girl of all the inmates...

    The guy in this story reminds me that some guys want to be in prison. We should accommodate them...
