Doc T - Corey linked a picture to Barry Switzer (http://aeispeakers.com/images/headshots/Switzer-Barry.jpg) but the site hosting the image doesn't like to be linked from our site. Thus, the "stop stealing bandwidth".
oh these sensitive wussies.. 'stop stealing my bandwidth' boo hoo. Code some decent html to prevent it instead of putting your pictures on 'bitch mode'.. Sorry about that Tim, here, let's have a festive Barry. I'll replace the other image as well.

This stuck out for me. I am a person who doesn't need loud rock music, and various gimmicks promoted by teams to "improve" the fan experience and the atmosphere (allegedly) at sporting events. I've said this before, when I go to Rockets games we have nice looking cheerleaders which I like, we have a really cool jumbotron which when it gives me stats and scores I like. But we also have blaring rock music, inane fan stuff like the kiss kam, players singing happy birthday, and other stupid things. It's like they think that unless we are kept occupied 100% of the time we will not enjoy the game. Actually enjoying the game has everything to do with how the team plays and nothing to do with all that other crap. That's my biggest fear of the Jumbotron at ND Stadium, advertisements incessantly, kiss kam, stupid games. I'd like to see replays that's innovative and improves my experience at the game, I like to see scores from other games around the nation. I like to see stats. I like college band music, cheerleaders, noise generated by fans fired up about the team and how it's playing. Don't need piped in music blarring at incredibly high decibels to keep me interested. Give me a good game, at a reasonable price, don't gouge me on concessions...that Jack in the box commercial where Jack cries over the difference in the 22$ box of pop corn vs what you can get at his restaurant for $5 hits home with me. If I want a soda, I don't really care to pay 8$ because it's in a ND cup. It's even worse at an Astros game where a beer/peanuts/hotdog can set you back $20.00
 Today was a new low for the Wolvies: blown out at home by Minnehaha... The Big Broom needs to descend on Ann Arbor and sweep the place out from the AD on down...
BOBDA!! HANG IN THERE!! Rough sports year I know. If it's any consolation, I haven't slept for 2 days in anticipation of the bubbly celebration for STL that may have to go down to a 1 game playoff that could lead to a 1 game playoff..............you're right, that probably didn't help....so I'm gonna send you this T-Shirt to make you feel better.
AJ, in these trying times of the Brewers collapse and the Wolverines meltdown, thank you for giving your BT brother a helping hand:
Obviously there is growing discontent with Hoke, but I couldn't help but note the talking heads saying how unfair it would be to fire Hoke. They said he took over a program built for the RR offense/defense and has been struggling to get it turned back to traditional UM football due to not having had enough time to get his players into the program and maturing. It did seem that at one time it was a given that a coach should get 5 years, but now in the 24-7, call in talk show, internet forums era that is no longer the case. However it is hard not to note that his best team was the first year with a team built by RR. The other issue is that fans seem to be blaming Dave Brandon just about equally with Hoke.
Bob, I of course didn't see the game..but I'm starting to see a lot of stuff critical of Hoke and his handling of Shane Morris. Some are saying he put him back in the game when it was, according to them, obvious he had a concussion. But isn't that a medical staff decision?
 :!: Everyone from ESPN to LA beat writers, to Michigan alumni, are calling for the Hokester to be fired immediately. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/michigan-coach-leaves-dazed-quarterback-164458445.html
TOK, the video of what happened can be found in the link below from Mgoblog. It did not look like the medical staff checked for a concussion when Morris first went off although based on how he acted after the hit, it certainly looked like he was in bad, bad shape. The staff tried to get the 3rd string QB into the game but, in action that typified this season, the kid could not find a helmet that fit him so they ran Morris back out on the field. They could have called a TO which would have allowed Garnder, who lost his helmet on the prior play, the opportunity to come back on the field. I was stunned while watching the game that they faled to do that. http://mgoblog.com/content/shane-morris-incident
Wow...how did 55 not get ejected, that was targeting. Morris had to be woozy at the best, how did the medical staff not get on him and run through the protocol. Shocking in todays world.
I watched it. Michigan doesn't help themselves, but they are also running into that streak of **** the way the Irish did under Weis-Willie and Davie.. guys making miracle one-handed catches.. back breaking momentum killing penalties or mistakes.. They need help.
This has taken on a life of it's own now with the media. The article has pretty much everybody on the sideline saying that they did not see the hit on Morris by the Minn player, that's hard to believe. But what about the coaches in the box, why didn't they radio down that he was blasted in the head by the Minn player and somebody needs to get him checked? Was Ed Cunningham of ESPN in the booth the only person who saw him get clocked and look wobbly? This isn't going away, it's too juicy for the media. Esp now that Brandon made that release, a writer (Brian Cook) has intimated that Brandon delayed the release because he was trying to strong arm the Mich medical staff into toeing the company line and they wouldn't. https://www.michigandaily.com/sports/statement-dave-brandon-regarding-student-athlete-health-and-welfare http://mgoblog.com/content/brandon-statement-morris-incident#comments
While I'm not a fan of Michigan, I'm a huge fan of Bobda, which is why I'm approaching this story with respect. As I watch this unfold, I can think only that we've (ND) been there, with the uproar over the death of the young man (Declan Sullivan) when the tower blew over at football practice at about the same time a St. Mary's student (Lizzie Seberg?), who had claimed she was sexually assaulted by a football player, committed suicide. Secondarily, we were suffering through the Charlie Weis era. As Terry said, it's not going away.
