why don't you ask the real question.. why is the god damned insurance so expensive to begin with? Is it all greedy Republican business owners? Or... is there another reason. BTW-you ever wonder who makes $$ off of new laws, mandatory insurance etc etc etc... It's the truth you won't face...
My feelings are that any solutions that involve government management and the overhead that entails are ridiciculous and counter productive. I also feel that tort reform is a key component of getting a handle on health insurance costs. And free market competition... without unlimited competition shopping for health insurance is like shopping for cable TV.
Our present system is broke.......it's keeping you and me up at night the way it stands now at present costs. How is this system ever going to go backwards in rates and costs to the consumer? It's too costly right now.....never mind increases in the future. It's going to take something drastic. Things like tort reform might be a start but just where do you think the savings will wind up.......in the consumers bank account or in the prfit centers of large insurers?
Getting back to the original thread. Let's tax corporations but not allow them any say in who runs the country. Hey, isn't that taxation without representation? Didn't we fight a revolution because of that?
 What I think is Dave needs to come and sit in on one of Jocos classes maybe its time he refreshed his memory about the constitution and The Bill of Rights.. and the structure of power... But if you come to Ca be prepared because for the last 30 years we have been supporting every Tom Dick and Harry who couldnt or wouldnt carry there weight we are broke.... we give anyone free medical . free money free housing.. but our teachers took huge cut in pay they are teaching class sizes that are obsene they even raise our state tax by 10% mid year you know Dave we are all hurting but you keep blaming 1 person I blame all those who elected those who sit in Senate and Congress ... they are the ones ultimatley reponsible for what has happened .. In the housing industry (something I have worked in for the last 16 years... blame those who didnt monitor Freddie MAc and Fannie Mae and their free Arm loans to those who couldnt afford the homes in the first place.. you wanted to know bad sit in my desk and listen to all who cant make their pmts or try the best they can they dont blame they just try to make it work ...because untl election time no one can make the changes and try and reverse the damage we have done as voters. Trust me Nancy and Diane will be running for their lives here in Ca . wait till they find out we have no funds in our unemployment since the state is broke
I believe I have done just that in most of my statements. My criticisms are only directed at the Bush Whitehouse years when I read comments that want to assign most if not all of the blame on either the Dems or Obama. Sure.....they haven't succeeded at getting us out of this jam yet but they don't have sole responsibility for us being in this mess as some seem to want to ascertain. Bush had 8 years in office....6 with a majority in Congress and yet turned over to Obama the worst economic and financial crisis we have seen since the Great Depression. In my opinion it's absolutely critical for all Americans to stop this self-defeating gamesmanship in our political process or we are doomed to be mired in the misery created by this Great Recession for a long time to come. The media buzz generated today by the electronic internet age gives way to so many fringe characters on either side that it's very difficult for anyone with integrity to implement a legitimate agenda even if they were suddenly enlightened as to the absolute right course of corrective action. It's a difficult challenge we are faced with as a nation. I hope we are up to it.
I came from a family of four kids. Most families in my parents generation had at least that many. I have two kids. Most in my generation had two or less. So we have fewer workers coming up to support the generation before. Add to that the millions of illegals and unemployable idiots running loose out there that receive benefits and you will find that the math does not work out.
:? you know what dave then maybe you should take a lesson from those who grew up in the depression like my parents.... they never spent more than they made... I dont think my Dad used a credit card Untl he was in his 40's maybe we should take lessons there.... most of my years in collections the ones who are in trouble got there themselves.... they depend on things that were suppose to happen but never did... Why should be blame a president.. oh and by the way.. on CNBC ( I was watching the market today) sd that what Obama has spent in the last year out weights the last 4 years of Bush.... as the sentate just pushed our loc higher to make more money to pay bills we will never pay.... We all make decisions re our live styles and how we live... and its really up to each person to say yes or no... when it comes to bills and money... its real easy to blame someone else for something we have caused our selves... Sometimes you just have to step up to the plate and take responsiblity for your own actions. whether it be for the money you spent planned on before it came in or who you voted for....Or you can be forever blaming a president that had a democratic Senate and Congress Your choice .... and only you can make that decision I am not saying we dont all make errors in fiance but we all are responsible for what happens and all must pay for our choices.
Guilty as charged on that one. I was one of the top sales producers in my industry and I have a shelf full of Bronze Eagle Sales Awards to prove it. What I didn't count on was the worst financial and economic meltdown since the Great Depression and US manufacturing stalwarts GM and Chrysler going bankrupt. Sure....many people and factors are responsible for the mess and yes you're right I sure as hell didn't see that one coming. But who did. And by the way.....having to sell my house at an extremely undervalued price is a joy as well.
