that's not even being a bit hyperbolic. It hit me absolutely out of nowhere. Sepsis shock and a Cellulitis rupture in my right calf. I had absolutely no warning signs of anything at all. No high blood pressure. No hypertension, no nothing. I began to feel a little under the weather early Friday and by the time my daughter was off of school around 3pm, I was literally babbling incoherently. Thankfully, our friends and neighbor called that day to ask me if Harlow could stay and play with her son. When she couldn't understand what I was saying, even though I thought I was replying to her just fine, she called my wife who came home to find me laying in a pile of my own mess, fever through the roof, low blood pressure, skin cold to the touch, ruptured cellulitis in my leg with massive swelling. I knew just where I was but I couldn't answer anyone coherently.

It only took them about 30 hours to turn everything around and I was fine. They watched me for another 5 days to make sure. I still have the rupture on my right foot and calf. I have to push these massive amounts of steroids into my body twice a day through a PICC line installed into my right bicep.

I've basically managed my trips around the sun as this indestructible asshole who always finds a way to beat whatever is in front of him. This is the first time something just came out of nowhere and just took me off of my feet. This is the type of thing, 100 years ago, would have killed me within days.

Go see the Dr if there is anything wrong at all (looking at you JOCO).

    AJ,
I'm pushing a metric f(ck ton of steriods twice a day through that PICC line in my arm. I'm fighting to get back on the mend.

Thanks guys. One thing that I wanted to express by posting this was that these are very common from what I gather. So if you're feeling 'off today', especially with all the bugs going around these days, don't risk it. I tried to just 'man up' through the day like we all do and it almost killed me. If you really feel off, get it checked out. It was something so small that started with me that when neglected for a very short period of time and it almost killed me. I just don't want the same happening to any of you guys.

Glad to hear you beat this latest threat. Personally I take a little Tito's orally every day to ward off sepsis.

That may be the way forward for me, all these healthy remedies keeping leading me on a path to doom. :)

    Everyone stay diligent and safe.
I picked up a new account about 10 days ago up in southern Wi. but when I spoke with him early last week he said he became sick over the weekend and felt like crap.... and he had a very ominous and audible rumbling deep cough as he spoke or tried to speak that I really haven't heard before.
I just spoke to him this morning and he got out of the hospital yesterday.... 5 days later as his wife took him to the ER that night.
He was diagnosed with Covid-19 and he is only 38 years old.
And there is the kicker..... this damn thing is extremely virulent and contagious and sends many more people of all ages to the hospital even if it doesn't kill them.

We're looking at a per capita nightmare here in Alabama if things don't get right in a hurry. Too many people taking their medical advice from Sean Hannity and even worse, all these people who are suddenly the 'outdoorsy' types that you know full well have been laying on their ass for the past decade are really making things bad here. Of course, there's also the matter of the churches, but don't get me started on that.

And you know who rotates getting his medical advice between Hannity, Fauci and Birx.
