Brrrr you guys are too cold for my bones...Hang tough, hopefully it moves through fast and warms up for you.

Or come on down and catch a few rays, we finished up at 80 degrees today in the center part of the state. MCG was cooled by the ocean breeze in Tampa...

Spring is starting to show up here and there in Florida, here are a few pics a friend of mine took last week not far from the house.

Trees are pretty iced up...looks like a coupla more hours of rain. Temp has gone up to 28 degrees.

    Still have power.

Driveway looks like the inside of an old fashioned freezer that hasn't been defrosted in 10 years.

:D For 40 years...7 days a week...fought my way through Blizzards...Ice...sleet. TIME to make the donuts! Never missed a day ( Missed loads of family functions though!)

Now I love looking out the window watching my neighbors shovel out and go merrily off to work! :) :)

Good analogy, Stu. That's exactly what we have here in central Indiana.

Our weather doesn't even compare to the Northeast. However, we got down to 16 degrees last night... wind chill of -2. That is a 20 year low for the first two days of Feb in Austin.

Another record low for Austin. We have already hit a low that has never been recorded ever in Austin for 3-Feb. We are also expecting the "S" word late today through the night.

    Like I stated earlier:
Understand that drivers, and I use that term loosely, around here panic at the thought of RAIN. Snow flurries drive them insane.

RECcane, those are absolutely beautiful pictures. May I ask what kind of camera/lens you use?

On topic, got up to 74 here (Gainesville) a day or two ago. Awful thunderstorms and monsoon rains overnight and this morning, but now just cloudy and in the 50's. I'll still take it!

18 1/2 inches of snow in Milwaukee by Wednesday morning although the snow drifts against my garage door were about 3 1/2 feet high. My liitle Toro snowblower was no match for this stuff and every muscle in body is sore today from yesterday's shoveling.

But the roads are clear today and most everybody is back at work. But, we are now in store for sub zero temperatures for a couple of nights with wind chills in the -20 below range.

Those really are great pics, REC. Wonder if that eagle would be willing to trade homes with me.

We were hit but not hit hard even by Austin standards. Woke up to a little over an inch of snow with a layer of ice underneath. I get to play chauffeur to Cindy and maybe some of her nurses today. People in this area are just not prepared for any kind of weather.

Waco and areas North (around 70 miles North of us) got 3+ inches. Dallas hit hard yet again.

Fantastic pictures. My dad is now using the eagle nest as his background on his computer.
