Top 20 Rose Bowls of All-Time. I watched it on ESPN Classic. It was very entertaining for somebody like me, doubt if anybody in their 20's or 30's would relate, too many old games.

But of the 20 3 were not PAC10/B10 games.

    ND/Stanford in 1925 was #9
    Texas/Mich in 2004 was #5
    Texas/USC in 2005 was #1

Of the remaining 17 12 were wins by the PAC10. I'd forgotten how many B10 teams had died in the Rose Bowl. It was cough, cough, painfull to watch Woody, Bo, Lloyd, Mo walk off the field losers so often. :)

I know the feeling, Terry. Almost ruins my holiday season. Heh-heh.

By the way, Rick, between you and Bobda, I laugh hard enough to cure any ills I may have. Very funny.

Those west coast boys are yankin' your chain TOK. By my count, the Big 10 has participated in 59 Rose Bowls....winning 29 and losing 30. Fairly evenly balanced I'd say.

Re: Woody - He took eight teams to the Rose Bowl, winning 4 and losing 4. Don't believe everything those guys on the west coast tell ya....!

That said, in my life time I think we've left 4 or 5 national championships on the field in Pasadena....more than I care to remember that's for sure.

How soon some ( or shall I say one) people ( person) forget(s). The past few years, the West Coast Sboxers were kicking the B12 around like a three-legged dog, claiming Vince Young would be playing tight end if he played for a PAC 10 team. And in the spirit of fraternity, members of the B10 Band of Brothers, Skybox Edition, lent a helping hand to our attacked so-called friends and celebrated in joy when Texas tore USC into itsy bitsy pieces.

And how are we repaid for our aid?

With a 27 point lead inside 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter, I think it is safe to assume that KSU is toast. Unless something changes quickly, the standings are as follows:

With less than 5 minutes left in the game, Cal is up by 21 and A&M is not showing signs of being able to mount a come back. The results are now:

If talking was touchdowns the SEC would be 9-0 by now. Unfortunatley all they have to show for several weeks of verbal blather is this humble goose egg...

    Great comeback by Bama.

I was surprised a little that the defense didn't hold up in the end but still it was a very entertaining game that came down to the wire.

Did they burn the Bama coach's house down yet? He went to the Ty Willingham School of Clock Management. That last minute and a half was pure Pop Warner vintage coaching for the Tide.

Hey JO'Co, the SEC is 0 for 1 when Bama the underdog almost pulled it out. We also have 8 more games to play with a POSSIBLE 88.89% final winning percentage. The PAC 10 has played 4 games and won only one. The have only 2 more games left that can POSSIBLY raise their winning percentage to 50%.

If the favorites win every game, the SEC will wind up 5 and 4 or 55.56% and the PAC 10 will be 33.33%. :?

I'm not trying to dump on the PAC 10. Just pointing out the glass house on the West coast.

    Don,

I certainly hope you are right. After missing a bowl for the first time since the 80's last year, they had better be glad to be in this bowl and had better be ready to play.

Kentucky was a underdog to Clemson. Kentucky winning this game would give an unexpected lift to the SEC standings. With 3:17 left in the 4th, Clemson is 16 points down. They have missed two out of two field goals, missed one out of one extra points, and missed one out of one two point conversions. I think Kentucky has this one in the bag.
