Stu....I don't think you looked at the actual tables I provided:

    2007 Bush Republican $2,730 $2,263 0.6% $8,951 $7,419 3.6% $13,668 $11,329 2.8% 1.21
    2008* Bush Republican $2,931 $2,366 4.6% $9,654 $7,793 5.0% $14,312 $11,553 2.0% 1.24
    2009* Bush Republican $3,107 $2,452 3.6% $10,413 $8,218 5.5% $15,027 $11,859 2.6% 1.27
    2010* Obama Democratic $3,991 $2,392 1.4% $13,954 $10,817 6.2% $15,792 $12,221 3.0% 1.29

The numbers in bold represent the increase in federal spending during W's last two years of setting the budget and Obama's first year.

Additionally....Obama increased the deficit in 2010 by 6.2% while Bush was at 5.0% and 5.5% in his last two budgets.

Bush really skyrockets in spending when you compare him to Clinton.

Dave, I think you are in the business of moving boats now are you not? Boats are considered a luxury owned by more rich than poor. When the rich are taxed into being poor, and you are laid off from yet another career, just how are you going to blame that on Bush?

Yeah, I looked at them...did you look at mine?

Explain to me the huge inflation adjustment for Obama's spending in 2010 (40%) vs. a 20% adjustment for Bush in 2009. The "inflation adjuster" isn't that different (1.7 vs. 1.9).

I think the Dow is the best indicator of where my business is headed.

Since Obama has been in office it has been steadily increasing and holding strong......both my business and the Dow.

When I was hired two years ago it was a mess......no one was buying or moving boats.

When people that really do have money start to lose it on paper their boat purchases do suffer but I think most people that have real money have it tied to investments.

If the Dow dropped again to 6600 like it did in early 2009 not many boats would be moving......and Obama would find the going tough.

Texas boat sales are being stolen by Fla's tax laws. The Boat dealers here are trying to get people to realize that when well off people buy those big boats that the difference in state taxes between Texas and Fla means that they'll go to Fla to buy boats. But the press presents it as welfare for big boat owners. Truth is big boat owners just go where the best deal is and the local boat dealers just have to lay off people and accept reduced sales. But heck at least we didn't give a tax break to the wealthy.

    What say you Dave?

I might be missing something here....
6% sales tax in Fl vs. 6.25% in Texas.

Does Texas have no cap as does Florida?

Using Obama's proposed bugets, his spending will surpass all previous presidents combined at the end of his four year term. He spent more than Washington through Reagan in his first 19 months...

    re: Wikipedia
    You're kidding...right? That's not a credible source for anything.

    re: Mr. Bush and spending
You really don't understand the TEA Party movement at all...do you? The TEA Party began as a reaction by conservatives against the Republican Party...not the Democrats. It reminds me of the anti-war movement in the Democratic Party of the 1960's, in that the base of the party is attempting to reform the country by reforming itself first. Just as lefties became tired of supporting cold warrior Democrats back then, so the righties have become weary of supporting high spending RINOs now.

You need to put down your pom-poms and watch the real game. As the Last Poets said, "the revolution will not be televised."
