Thanks, matey! It's the same software at Gator Country with a different style, works well; is pretty flexible. And fun to play with for everyone. ; ) Ray
How much will this affect the bandwidth? I know many of the different software tools out there are capable of image/file uploads, but many of the sites disable it due to the bandwidth overhead cost. I know we're but a small percent of your overall throughput, but will this affect you on the Gator side?
For a site like this, I don't worry too much about bandwidth. On Gator Country which averages around 60 million page views annually, I generally restrict it to paid members (or restrict free members to small file sizes). The files get offloaded to Amazon's cloud in the sky so it is pretty economical as it is. The Skybox is hosted on my own server away from Gator Country, so no worries. I appreciate you asking. Ray
I checked and InsideTexas also uses XenForo software, so they must have decided, for no doubt the same reasons you have, to not implement every feature due to bandwidth.
I think it’s more due to their version is from 2016 so it is a bit dated. When they upgrade it can be as spiffy as ours. ; ) Ray
The new board software went online Dec 7th 2018, Pearl Harbor Day. Now that it's been a little over a year I have to say Ray hit a home run! I can't thank him enough for what he's done for us.
