I never appreciate having my young ass called ignorant but I will publicly accept your apology, Sid.

It seems like ever since our disagreement over Brett Favre being an overrated QB, you have had a somewhat negative tone toward my posts. Those were just my opinions about Lou. I think he was an excellent coach and an overall nice guy. It is just my opinion that he needs to hang it up instead of letting the production guys at ESPN turn him into your old goofy family member. Nothing personal, just my opinion. I hope that this last outburst will signal a turning point in the tone of our posts, Sid. I happen to respect your opinion and enjoy reading your posts. Thanks for the apology.

I vaguely remember the Brett Favre posts, but I can assure you that despite this recent situation, I do not have a negative tone toward your posts. On the contrary, I respect the way you express yourself here. I am sorry that I've given you that impression. It's said that we never stop learning, I am no exception.

Seems to me maybe Aquila is referring to Holtz possibly at some point descending into a Beano Cook like state at the end of his ESPN career.

I think Holtz is too smart for that and would step away for good before he began to embarass himself.
