Maverick McNealy sort of chocked away this one, maybe that's not fair as Aberg played great down the critical last few holes. But the choice of hitting driver on 17 and failing to make birdie at least on the par 5 18 was his undoing. Even Tiger in the Booth with Nance was critical of that choice on 17 and it ended up in a disaster off the tee. He did recover for a par though. Scottie had a good tourney, if he'd not had such a disaster on Sat he'd probably won the tournament. Rory not so much California is done and it's on to the Florida swing.
All I can say is I enjoyed it. Why? Because I bet $3 on two differnt golfers to win. My $3 on Aberg paid $77.Wohoo! That's 2 trips to McDonalds. Seriously McNealy really gave it away. Me missed his birdie putt on 17 and then gagged on 18. Meanwhile Aberg did a great job 2 putting from forever on 18. This should be the week that they play at Doral but the woke aholes at the PGA moved it to Mexico because Trump owned it. Looking forward to local Bay Hill and the TPC.
I find it interesting that when Trump was President the first time they did everything they could do distance themselves from Trump, ditching the Blue Monster among many things. Now recently I saw an interview with Rory where he talked about playing recently with Trump and the Tour asking Trump to help them with LIV negotiations in some way.
