Players Championship, the best field so far in the 2021 season, something like 48 out of the top 50 are in the field. Brooks Koepka continues his injury woes, withdraws due to knee issue.
Sergio!! Where have you been? Dustin where are you going? Towards the cut line? Lee Westwood? Maybe last week wasn't an aberration! Phil welcome back! Bryson...need to worry less about going over the lake on #18 to have a better shot at the green, which of course they decided to make out of bounds! So focus man on making regular shots into the fairway!
I wonder if course management is on the way out or do you just lift some more weights, hit it as far as you can and muscle it out of the rough.
DeChambeau has had great success but he needs to put a chokehold on the feats of strength exhibitions on the tee. He got pushed to the limit by a 47 year old who simply hit the ball straight and putted well. Rory hit 2x into the water there showing off.
Sergio and his putter went off the rails today a bit, he missed one really short one that had you shaking your head. But he recovered and is still in the hunt at - 7.
Rooting for Hoffman and Westwood today.....my boy Koepka is hurt....how do you get hurt in golf if your not named Hogan or Woods?
JT on the move, Bryson and Westwood both over par and have fallen behind. Maybe they felt the pressure of trying to play up to the hype of their match today
Very entertaining tournament. Watching Westie and Bryson play 4 was an ego booster. Only played it once but beat Chambeau by 3. As it almost always is, the 16th will be the key.
16, 17 and 18, greatest finish in golf ⛳? Has to be in the top 10 for sure! It has been a really good tourney for the fans.
Westwood after a great drive on 16, couldn't pull off the 2nd shot and put himself in a bad position behind the trees in the bunker short left. Bryson who really needs a miracle on the other hand hits a great shot and has a good look at eagle. He's 3 shots back.
Westwood pours in the birdie putt on 18 to finish solo 2nd. Bryson had a birdie that went part way down but wouldn't stay and he finished 3rd. Great weekend.
