No kidding. I would have hocked my wristwatch if I could have found a quick buyer. Very personable too. She hit a drive earlier in an exhibition about 250 using a LH driver.

I'm thinking you all had not yet regained your concentration after watching her - er - 360 yard drive.

Funny side note; After her drive, the photographer hired for the event grabs me and says let's get a photo with Heather. So I slide up next to her and she grabs my right arm and wraps it around her waist. I immediately though of Ray Kinsella and his father having a catch. "Is this heaven? No, it's Jackson NJ ".

So George, did you offer to take her home? You two could have gone for a long drive.

Speaking of women's golf, they are playing their PGA Championship at Congressional. I Gee Chun is smoking the field, she's in the clubhouse at - 8, closest is - 1of which there are 13 tied at that score.

She holds the record for the lowest total in a Major, - 21 at the Evian in 2015.

Rory off to another good start, 62 opening round.

Speith is struggling big time. He is +5 now and it will take a red number to make the cut.

Speith seems to have lost his fire the last few weeks.

Theegala had it right there just like at Phoenix and made a bad decision on the tee and then compounded it with a bad decision in the bunker and it cost him the tournament just as the bad decision on the tee at 17 in Phoenix killed his hopes.

One thing I just learned about the LIV tour...they use a shotgun start. Gets all the players on the course at once for a level playing conditions. Kinda cool.

Do you think it matters if some get to start off on easier holes maybe? I don't know, like maybe a particularly difficult driving hole is your first hole instead of a short par 4 or a par 5? Not a big thing but it is a variable.

Point(s) taken...my main thing is the weather issue. Using the British open for example, the morning tee times are a huge advantage before the wind picks up in the afternoon, especially in Ireland. Personally, I don't think it's that big of a deal for the pros IRT which hole they start on. Those guys have all the shots in their bags.

How many groups do PGA tournaments have on Thursday and Friday? If it's more than 18 wouldn't that be another problem for a shot gun start?

LIV I believe is limiting the field to 48 players or something like, I guess they could accommodate 4x18 or up to 72 players with a shot gun start. I do think it's innovative way to level the weather for the players though.

I do think that those teams that they play and draft for each tourney with captains and all that is lame.

Team play is good for special events like the President's Cup and Ryder Cup but in my opinion golf is an individual event in its essence. Also, the guaranteed money, at least to me, seems to minimize the incentive to win the GD game!!

To me, the guaranteed amount makes the golfers employees with a salary of 120 grand per event with bonuses for good performance. They could lose their status as independent contractors and be considered as employees of Saudi Arabia.
