USGA not banning any eligible players, Tiger however won't play in the US Open saying he needs to heal and get ready for the British Open.

It's expected that the R&A will follow suit and allow all eligible players to compete.

PGA Tour has not as yet said what the punishment will be, suspension for how long?

I wonder.what the contract with LIV requires? Can DJ collect his money, play this week then return to his PGA tour schedule or is he required to play in all of their events too?

I'm esp curious to see what the PGA tour does to these guys if and when they try to play a PGA Tour event. Tour doesn't control the Majors so these guys are going to be able to play those if they qualify it would seem. DJ reportedly got 125M to go to the LIV tour so I imagine he'll have to play all of their events. There are only 48 guys in the London event, it's 3 days and no cut, as Krebs noted most of their players except DJ aren't in the big money on the Tour anyway and have to worry about making cuts.

Mainly I though as I said I'm just waiting for the Tour to be specific as to the discipline that will be handed down to all the players in the London event, with the exception of Kevin Na who went ahead and resigned from the PGA Tour.

Dustin Johnson resigned from the PGA yesterday. In a tournament about six weeks ago Sergio was upset over a ruling on one of his shots from a referee and blurted out something "I'll be done with this tour soon" and it was caught on mic. Following Greg Norman and Phil Mickelson could be a dicey career proposition. Norman is the ultimate venture capitalist businessman who is making a calculated decision at a point in his life where he has less to lose. Phil is seeing his earning potential declining rapidly and coupled with his degenerate gambler life style likely needs the money now. Johnson is taking a payday. For these guys to be pimping their services to the Saudis is a really poor optic. It has a definite WWE feel to it.

If these guys are getting guaranteed money, what is the incentive to give a **** about winning? They obviously don't care about the prestige or the legacy.

Sounds like they have all resigned from the PGA Tour. They won't be missed.

Nice leader board after round 3. Rory, Finau, JT and Sam Burns in the MIX.

Should be a good day tomorrow.

    LIV? who cares.

Great final group today at the Canadian Open. Great golf, and big drama. Good job to hang on by Rory.

Wonder what the crowd reaction will be to Mickelson and DJ. I’m also wondering if the PGA will change payouts to complete with LIV .

Phil is +5 through 6. I would like to see him double that before the end of his day and then take the early flight home tomorrow evening.

In all honesty Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reid will make a ton more money on LIV circuit than they would have on the PGA tour. If they aren't the top 2 then they aren't trying. Now they may not try much because of the guaranteed money.

Guaranteed money will certainly change the game. Doesn't this seem eerily similar to NIL?

Schaeffer hits a beautiful Wedge into the par 5 8th and it goes in for an eagle. It wasn't a one hop and in it hit beyond the hole with the right spin and it came back to the hole. Great shot, that gives him a 2 shot lead for now.
