Players know which fellow competitors bend the rules. As I recall Gary Player was not held in high esteem by some players. Reed apparently has trouble with people besides his fellow pros. He's been estranged from his family for some time.
Yeah Patrick Reed is obviously a very talented player but I doubt he'll ever be a particularly popular player.
I hope Jordan can win today. I'd like to see him finally get his game back and become the player he was when he won the Masters and the US Open in 2015. He's not a player who over powers courses like DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, Rory, Koepka and a few others and while it's fun to watch those guys bomb it out there, it's also nice to see somebody with a game like Jordan's when he's playing well.
Speith missed what should have been a gimme on that par 3. Those are the mistakes that I make, not something that a PGA Tour player should make.
Koepka wins it, really had a great week, and so did Steve Stricker. Speith gets a top 5 but never got anything going today.
Got to give a tip of the hat to David Feherty who predicted that something wild would happen. Koepka's eagle on 17 was just that.
On to Pebble....not a big fan of this tourney...too much hob bobbing, and I could really care less about Murray and his BS. Love the course though, got too play it one time in '94 I think. BD present. I believe it's when the Japanese owned it. About $400 and 4 sleeves of balls. I broke a hundred, but not by much.
I'm losing a lot fewer balls now...when you lose all your distance they can't go as far astray. I'm sure Pebble would eat me alive. My son (FlaBucks) played there once. I played TPC Scottsdale Stadium course a couple of times. Actually shot an 82 from the blue tees (they were more like white tee distance). But that was back when my game was mediocre instead of crappy. My drive actually ended up behind the same boulder (loose impediment) that the fans later moved out of Tiger's way...but note that the blue tees were about 100 yards ahead of the Championship tees on that hole.
