I agree. Golf has always been different from other sports. The Ryder Cup has been boisterous but not insulting and abusive.

Another back surgery for Tiger Woods. That was something like his 7th or 8th back surgery. I just wonder if he can ever play again. He's turning 50 and while I never really thought he'd play on the Champions Tour, but now it's will he ever play competitively again.

Tiger Woods went through a seventh back surgery Friday, this time to replace a disk in his lower back that had caused pain and mobility issues.

Woods said in a social media post Saturday that he had the surgery in New York and added it was the right decision for his health and his troubled back.

He did not mention how long it would keep him out of golf, though it was unclear if he was trying to play in his Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas or the PNC Championship with his son, Charlie. Both tournaments are in December.

He hasn't played since a playoff loss in the PNC Championship last year.

I wonder if his swing is the reason for his back problems. He always swung so hard.

Probably related to the way he drove. I'm just not sure it was the ball or the car.

Yeah, I don’t get it either. One of the reasons I like golf is being outside.

Jack wins in Court and is 50M richer, not that he needs it but they said what they said and he wasn't taking it. Good for him.

A Florida jury on Monday awarded Jack Nicklaus $50 million in his defamation lawsuit against Nicklaus Companies, which is owned by billionaire banker Howard Milstein.

Nicklaus, 85, filed the lawsuit in response to statements that Milstein and other Nicklaus Companies officials made in a previous lawsuit in a New York court.

In the defamation lawsuit, Nicklaus claimed the defendants suggested that he had considered a $750 million deal to become the face of the Saudi Arabian-financed LIV Golf League and disseminated those false claims to media outlets.

In a surprise to me at least , Charlie Woods was named a 1st team AJGA All American.

I thought he was a good player but not an elite level player.

The Annika is this week in Belleair which is close to Clearwater on the Gulf. Beautiful area. It's a fun format in that Celebrities are playing with the LPGA pros. The biggest name Celebrity will be Catlin Clark who is actually a pretty good amateur player, she won't be the best Celeb at golf for sure.

Also President Trumps granddaughter Kai Trump who is a HS Senior at the same school Charlie Woods attends and is scheduled to play college golf at Miami will be in the field.

Stewart Cink won the Champions Tour Championship this past weekend in Phoenix

This weekend the LPGA has their final, The CME Tour Championship.

The top 60 women's professional golfers will be in Naples this week for the CME Group Tour Championship, the final event of the 2025 LPGA Tour season.

The tournament, which runs from Nov. 20-23 at Tiburón Golf Club, features an $11 million purse with a record $4 million first-place check, the largest single prize in the history of women's golf. The runner-up will receive $1 million.

Thailand the capital of women's professional golf?

Jeeno Thitikul was the big winner of the season ending LPGA championship...sort of their version of the Fedex Cup. 4M payout. She's from Thailand and has had a great season, is the world #1 now, and is only 22 years old. The runner up, Pajaree Anannarukarn, also from Thailand. Nelly Korda had a good tournament except for her first round 71. But after winning 7 times last season she didn't win a single tournament this season.

LPGA actually has a real offseason, they don't play again till Jan 30th when they open their season with a Tournament of Champions.

    Rest in Peace Fuzzy.

Got to meet him at Bellerieve CC in St. Louis. I was stationed there training reservists from 90 to 93. We did a color guard for the opening of the PGA Championship in 92 on the Weds (pro am) before the tourney that Nick Price won that year. The who's who of golf was there at the time, and everybody walked by us like we were 2nd class citizens, except for Fuzzy. He came up behind us and slapped us on the shoulders and said, " I spent 4 long years also guys....on the Nike Tour" Great dude....spent 10 mins talking to us and told us stories of all the places he been to from our home states.

The president of the CC was a retired Colonel who knew our CO. We teed off on Monday morning (1st group) from the championship tee's. I shot a 84. Nick shot a 62. I almost had him.

RIP Fuzzy. That unfortunate comment about Tiger literally ruined his career.

He was a HS classmate of a couple of close friends of ours in New Albany, IN. They said he was always the class cut-up (big surprise) and a great guy.

One of the men who made golf fun. Players like him and Trevino made golf more than a sport, it was humerous entertainment. Golf was fun with Fuzz, the Merry Mex, the Walrus, Chi Chi and so many other fun characters.
