    Favorites to win.

    Bryson DeChambeau
    Jon Rahm
    Rory Mcllroy
    Xander Schaueffele
    Justin Thomas

Most of the votes in the ESPN poll were for Bryson, Rahm and Xander.

Looks like this pain in the ass storm Eta is headed Master's way. Current forecast is cloudy in the morning and T storms by 1 PM.

So after all the talk that Bryson was going to nearly drive #1 and have a chip to the green, he's even through 3 holes and Xander is -3 through three holes doing it the old fashion way.

Obviously, he didn't practice hitting off pine straw. Doubled 13.

Paul Casey, the anti-Bryson, is at -6, so I guess there is more to scoring at Augusta than 350 yd carries. :D

They didn't get the 1st round finished yesterday so a lot of guys are out early today on the course finishing the 1st round. Then they have to try and finish round 2. With the shorter days it's going to make it tough to get it all in and back on schedule.

Bryson ended up at -2 and there are some pretty awesome highlights from his round. Justin Thomas is still out on the course at -5, so he could catch Paul Casey. They were talking about how the course is playing so different since it's soft. Shots you couldn't stop on the green are stopping because they are soft.

Can you believe Bernhard Langer? 63 years old and in the top 10 after round 1, and Tiger with his best opening round in the Masters.

Freddie is +3 but still out on the course and Phil is -2 and still out on the course. I wonder if he ended up playing that 47 inch driver.

I saw several shots plug on the greens in the first round. I don't think I've ever seen that at the Masters.

Yeah, Terry, that lost ball on 3rd seemed to really upset his demeanor. They had to have been within feet of that ball. Obviously, for his game to work the course has to not penalize errant tee shots or he has to hit fairways. But today his drives, his short game and his putting were all NOT working.

Langer makes the cut, Freddie has maybe his worst Masters ever, Phil at -5, and it does look like Bryson will make the cut, just barely if he doesn't screw up 17 and 18.

It looks like Dechambeau held it together and is in and Spieth may make it too. It will be interesting to see how Dechambeau does today and tomorrow.

Dustin Johnson having a great day, 3 shot lead over Ancer and JT.

I saw DeChambeau says that he hasn't felt well the last couple of days, has had some dizziness. Might explain why he has not played well.

While watching the ND game, Dustin Johnson increased his lead by firing a 65 and has a 4 shot lead now over 3 guys not used to being in contention the final day in a major.

What has happened to Jordan Spieth? Five years ago they were ready to anoint him. I follow golf but seriously do not know what became of his "A" game.

Is it possible that DJ will gag away the Masters, he went to bed with a 4 shot lead having played "masterfully", today he is +1 through 5....uh oh. Lead down to 1.

Tiger joins Weiskopf, Spieth, and some other notables who have found a watery grave at 12.

A 10 on a par 3! Then he got on a birdie run and birdied 5 of the last 6 holes.

DJ has the lead back to 4.

DJ now has a 5 shot lead with 3 holes to play. Hope they have a green jacket with long enough sleeves.
