AJ 275 tee ball. Chunk the approach. 1 groove the chip. Barely get next chip on green. Cart girl shows up, compose myself with a double Vodka Collins. 3 putt. Tell cart girl I need to see her every 10 minutes for refills.
Been watching on ESPN+. you can follow featured groups. Following JT and Jordan Speith. Feel bad for Jordan he just isn't the same player and you have to wonder if he ever will find that magic again.
I have to say the PGA has been very entertaining to watch, that course has really challenged the players and there have been some great shots..how about Bryson's 95 foot putt! How about golf ball getting stuck up in the tree's and not coming down, thick rough almost US Open stuff.
Great leader board for this afternoon, weather seems to favor low scores Ryan Palmer put up a 64 this morning
Didn't realize that the players can still play with spikes. They just showed DeChambeau walking on concrete with the classic click clack of spikes
Colin Morikawa's incredible drive on 16 maybe the shot of the year. He doesn't have a bazooka launcher for a driver but he was #1 in fairways, #1 in proximity to the hole and #1 in strokes gained putting.
That's me! Crush the drive, center cut. Chunk the approach. Hit the next approach short. Take out the Texas wedge out of frustration for the 80' putt from the first cut... way short. three putt. Drink heavily.
Well Dustin isn't letting up, he's increased his lead to 7 strokes. - 4 after 5 holes, could he get to - 30?
I guess you'd call that -30 under a beat down of the golf course and the 11 shot victory a beat down of the competition. Dustin was in the zone for sure.
I hope Dustin hasn't peaked too early! Certainly were a lot of double digit under par scores this weekend. That usually signals that the course was too easy for the Pros. Dustin hit 70% of the fairways and 90% of the Greens in Regulation. He putted very well. In the meantime, what will ever happen to Jordan Speith? He just looks lost out there, throws down a good round now and then, but no consistency and there really isn't any part of his game right now that is elite. Is he done? Is he a head case?
Phil shot a 61 yesterday in his 1st round ever on the Champions Tour. Problem is that Phil lately hasn't been able to keep it up, he's played well in the opening rounds but fades after that. He's playing shorter courses with the Champions Tour, maybe that'll make a difference.
