Wife and I have been enjoying a few days at SW Florida beaches (I went all out for our 32nd anniversary, took her to the Ritz Carlton in Naples, holy crap it was expensive) decided to walk the beach yesterday morning. Noticed a "glass snake" on the steps heading to the beach.

"The glass lizards or glass snakes are a genus, Ophisaurus, of reptiles that resemble snakes, but are actually lizards. Although most species have no legs, their head shapes, movable eyelids, and external ear openings identify them as lizards."

Wife stopped and took a few pictures, I got bored with her taking forever walked on down to the beach as she moved on to taking pictures of the rain clouds on the horizon of the gulf. Noticed a big dude coming down the same path we just walked all pumped up, he stopped and looked down at the glass snake and ran like a girl with arms flailing away from the creature until he noticed me laughing my ass off. He then assumed the pumped up big dude stance ignoring me and walked the other way...

    Best part of my vacation....
