I tried to verify his explaination. I even signed up for a free trial subscription but even that wouldn't allow access to archived items. I give up.

 

I've received nothing. Us lowly Subways don't count...

Here is the latest in my correspondence with my new best friend. Let me preface the email exchange below by saying that I made a gut decision after re-reading the Tennessee column to give Mr. Livengood the benefit of the doubt. IMO, the fact that they read then misspelled his name made a case for them playing fast and loose with the facts. I also had signed up for a trial subscription to SBJ, but only full subscribers are allowed access to the archived articles. Given all the circumstances and his impressive background, I chose to accept his explanation, which in turn required me to eat a bit of humble pie, something I need to do occasionally to keep myself balanced and not susceptible to my evil temper.
