If the topic is so distatseful .... so horrendous ... why didn't one of the moderators simply delete it? Why let it linger ...... and then, allow personal insults?

Several posts have gotten quite personal in their comments/insults ..... yet, I see nothing posted by MCG and me of that nature.

But alas ...... no need to sweat the "small stuff". :D

    Hey GaterzFan,

Maybe you should take a breather and stand down. Sid is one of the most respected and tenured posters on here. He's never nasty to anyone.

He simply is stating the obvious; that even on the heels of one of the most convincing victories in BCS title history, both you and MCG seem to want to tarnish your "day in the sun" by taunting the Buckeye fans, casting aspersions on their players an e en going so far as to call the officiating into question which continues to be S.O.P. for a few of you Gator fans.

Your are snatching BB defeat from the jaws of victory with your boorish behavior. We all know who the best team is.... the best fans remains a question.

Why is it George that when I point out the obvious hold on the KR by Ginn and yet I state also the obvious that the turn of events of that KR actually helped Fla am I "calling into question" the officiating?

It was a hold and it was missed and the play should have been called back...period.

Did the refs do a pretty even job in the game....try to show objectivity....and try to be fair to both squads.....my answer to that is yes and that's all you can hope for.

Sometimes they just don't see everything that happens on the field and that's what happened on that play.

On the taunting....this is seriously the most two-faced group.

I can't wait to see if and when ND finally wins a big one how you guys react. I think you're taking my enthusiasm and giddiness for taunting, etc.

Actually I think there is virtually nothing I could say of any substance regarding the game that wouldn't be taken this way.

You really think this topic is gloating? I thought these thoughts at the time it happened when the game was still very much in doubt in the first half. When Ginn came back out on the field and his dad was yelling something at him or the coaches it struck me as odd and I wondered then what may be up and then the same conjecture is written and talked about elsewhere and somehow the fact I mention it is taunting and classless, etc.

You guys are a piece of work. How many posts here do you think I could find where I was taunted about Florida's chances to beat OSU etc. and how many times have I heard that Fla can't play with the out of conference big boys....can't win games in the west....can't win games outside of the state of Fla...etc...etc.....

Actually....let it be known that silently...I am gloating bigtime and will for a long long time.

If I say nothing....rest assured that down inside....I am gloating.

If you don't appreciate the subject of a thread .... just don't read and participate. This is what I choose to do with many of the threads on this site.

Again .... there were no problems with this discussion (which you may or may not appreciate) until folks started with the personal insults.

So, don't take all of this so seriously and don't sweat the small stuff .... as it results in quite "boorish behavior"!!

    Gaterz;

First reaction: I got yer small stuff right here.

Final verdict: I hear ya. :?

But regarding the "if you don't appreciate the topic, don't participate"...sorry, that doesn't wash.

These are my exact words in the first post of this topic:

    "From MCG:

I saw his dad yelling something out to his son or the coaches and I wondered to myself was Ginn Sr. worried about the NFL payday to come?
On the Best Damned Sports Show last night there was conjecture on Ginn not returning to the game in the same vein.

Also interesting....an Ohio State fan's post on this same board notes that the player that held Reggie Nelson and therefore cleared the way for Ginn's score was also the player that stepped on his foot in the endzone celebration.
    Ironic...."

Wow....I am truly sorry for this merciless taunting. :D

Because we try to give some latitude in hopes people will finally show respect for each other.

However I am going to take your advice to this extent and lock the topic.
