Not this weekend but next its Gators and Dawgs for the East. Best position the Gators have been in for years.

Mullen is the real deal as our coach. He had a lot of nay sayers but he hit the ground running with a big smile on his face and has the Gators hitting on as many cylinders as is possible right now.

    Go gators.

If Fromm is on, Florida is going to have.a.tough time. If he is not on Georgia will be the one in trouble.

Should be a really good game. UGA already has a loss in the SEC East, can not take another loss.

Both teams have one SEC loss. Winner of this game gets the benefit of a tie when it's over. Its between these two, winner take all and meet the West champion in the Championship game. Almost certainly the winner of the Alabama - LSU game.

Which at this time I would predict LSU wins the West.

    What say you kp?

Bill, I'm afraid I have to.agree.with you. I think LSU beats Alabama. Now Auburn is a contender but they have a.strike against them already.

Fromm just may have a harder time if Florida can get it's top two pass rushers back and healthy for the game.
Gotta get some refs that see and call holding by the OL equally and effectively.
On some plays vs. LSU it looked like the Tigers OL were arm tackling the UF pass rushers and Burrow was lethal with the extra time to throw.

So...non-SEC refs? P12 refs are hands-down universally the worst, most incompetent, clueless, inconsistent, blue blood protectionist refs in the business, but specifically on holding calls, SEC refs are worse. I think the only SEC team I've watched that didn't benefit from the lack of SEC flags for OL holding is A&M, and that's because they can't be bothered to be within two yards of who they're "blocking".

Kesley, the SEC refs aren't that bad. They all just hate Florida.

I see you have been watching WSU..... interested to see how the game is called tomorrow between Auburn and LSU. Auburn has a great DL and a good pass rush but if the LSU O-line holds all night without a flag then Burrow will burn em.

Geez MCG you need to give the complaining about the officials a rest.

For the record I don't agree with Dave. SEC refs are as good as anyone and they don't hate the Gators.

    Bill you watching LSU-Auburn?
You haven't seen LSU holding all game like the play seconds ago where the OL has his arm from behind completely around the Auburn pass rusher's neck.
And not one offensive holding called in this game. It's bizarre.....

lol, so let me get this straight.... this year's flavor is LSU? Who do they favor when the Gators aren't playing?

Auburn seemed to get plenty of pressure, maybe Florida's pass rush just isn't that good? Or were the officials just doing that to make Florida look bad, even though Florida wasn't playing?

Maybe you didn't see the game Corey? Danielson even pointed out a non-call on an LSU hold and the one I describe was literally a tackle from behind with his arm around the pass rusher's neck.

I did see the game. I also saw an Auburn player flop down and clearly fake an injury. Something Danielson lost his mind over ND allegedly doing. Neither case were as clear as this.. They laughed it off. Calls go both ways. Auburn was gifted a fumble when that kid's knee was down. Calls come, and they go. The real team overcomes.

MCG, what Corey said is what I've been trying to say all along. Bad calls and non -calls go both ways almost all of the time. The problem is you spot all of the ones that go against Florida and none of the ones that go against Florida's opponent.

Kp ever since FSU's "hit to the echo of the whistle" teachings in the 90s I have suspected that some coaches teach certain methods of play that aren't necessarily within the rules but that are premeditated.
Last year in the Swamp Florida showed and yesterday in Baton Rouge Auburn showed that getting to Burrow is the way to stop LSU but if their guys are tackling your guys and no holding is called then that becomes pretty difficult. I noticed vs. UF and saw it again yesterday.... or maybe grabbing and wrapping your arms around defensive players is ok and is a rule change I missed.

Apparently there are some Auburn fans on Twitter who agree:

did they just miss that massive hold on LSU?

    — Dan Wolken (@DanWolken) October 26, 2019
Derrick Brown is literally held on 8/10 plays. The other two are sacks.

    — Simone Eli (@SimoneEli_TV) October 26, 2019
How did the refs not see the 4 guys holding Derrick Brown?

    — Drunk Aubie (@DrunkAubie) October 26, 2019
Don't think I've ever seen a man more thoroughly held. pic.twitter.com/AkQGIP17

So maybe the SEC has made a rules interpretation change without telling anyone? This poster thinks so:

"Why don’t they call offensive holding anymore?"

I agree 100% with the Auburn posters that LSU held most of the game. You were getting pressure until LSU noticed “oh they just aren’t calling holding this game. But so did Auburn, you tackled Divinity multiple times including one great horse collar tackle. (Of course POS GD said nothing about that) I think that’s the real reason Steele and Aranda starting doing and were successful with those delayed blitzes. (You start off the line with running start so much more difficult to hold)"

I have noticed this all year. Why are they doing this... has there been a de-emphasis in the rule to allow more scoring etc. Its every game so there has to be some reason for this.
