I'll be curious to see if Georgia Southern plays a major team in a lesser bowl this bowl season.

Say.... some 6th or 7th place 7-5 or 6-6 team from any major conference.

It's probably going to be one of those "Louisville" type bushwhackings that no one expected.

Corey.... always trying to put words in my mouth:

" you are now talking about Florida the great. "

    ROTFLMAO.....

Jeezus man..... if backing in to winning the SEC Least this year is akin to being "great" then I'm really missing something.

Now....if Georgia whips Auburn and claims the East I wouldn't say the Dawgs were great by any means but certainly pretty good.

They've already played #22 ranked Ga.Tech and only lost 42-38, their only other loss is 24-23 to NC State. Navy game coming up this weekend should be a great game.

The line on GaSou vs. Navy is Navy minus 3.

Let's see how that pans out.

Of course Ga Southern always has to play the bigger guys at their place.

That won't be the case in a bowl game vs. the unsuspecting.

Well going to Annapolis isn't going to be intimidating if that's what you mean. They play in a smallish stadium and they don't have a huge sellout partisan crowd at most of their games.

I have actually seen the stadium from the outside as I parked there once for the shuttle to the Annapolis Boat Show.

I'll guarantee you the crowd there will be more jazzed up than the forlorn totally demoralized crowd that the Swamp presented to the Eagles last year after the ass kicking Vandy gave UF on Homecoming the week before.

Losing to Vandy essentially made the Gators bowl ineligible for the first time in 27 years and ensured a losing record for the first time since 1979.

It had to be one ugly time in the Swamp vs. Georgia Southern.

You do realize you're praising this year's Georgia Southern team, when you were beaten by last year's Georgia Southern team... that finished 4-4 and in a 4 way tie for 4th place, right?

This year's team is rather different as they are actually an FBS school now. They were FCS last year and did not make the playoffs. Their coach left at the end of the season to take the job at Army. They are literally, night and day different.

Unlike the Gators who continue to frustrate with their lack of consistency under Muschamp who just appear to be the same team every year every since the Louisville 'bush whacking.'

Serious question, why was Notre Dame 'exposed' in the title game against Alabama but Florida was not 'exposed' by Louisville? I'd say the Irish have shown the ability to rebound and be competitive on a national level since then. Have the Gators? (Georgia's meltdowns not withstanding)

Florida... as they evolved under the guidance of Muschamp and the poor Qb play of Jeff Driskel was indeed exposed by Louisville in that Sugar Bowl.

That game was absolutely a portend of bad things to come for the next two years.

I am just hopeful that what we saw vs. Georgia and Vandy with a UF offense that doesn't snuff a decent Gator defensive effort is a sign that Muschamp has adapted and made some positive improvement.

Anything less and he would understandably be gone.

I actually like the guy.... and it's much better to have a coaching continuance in the program instead of constant changes..... unless you can dump the coach in progress and get a homerun hire like Meyer.

I don't see any sure fire homerun hires out there at present so I remain hopeful that what we have seen in the past two weeks is a sign of better things to come for Muschamp and Florida.

( I know..... for your interpretation Corey I have just loudly proclaimed the Gators to be the Greatest!!! ).....
