Speaking of SEC refs............................ I have done a turn around on them in recent years. I think they have finally realized that we don't go to the game to watch them.
I agree Bill in that I think the conference has tried to get a handle on those kinds of refs who get flag happy or who ...heaven forbid.....show the homeboy favoritism. SEC football has become such a huge revenue operation that it smudges the product in a national light to let good ole boys from down the county road a piece ruin the integrity of the sport for all to see. Those days may be over now but too late for poor ole Ron Zook....who was just referred to this week by a Gainesville Sun sportswriter as having what he termed "Zookluck"...... 8) p.s. translation: Tom, that is still one of the most ******** endings to a football game I have ever seen..... Game ON brotha!
What game ending are you referring to? Have to assume it was a Tennessee win. You wouldn't be concerned with anything else. There it is... 8)
Dave let me say a couple of things. I am sure you remember that the league office admitted that the call in the Tennessee game was wrong and that referee was suspended for some period of time. You do recall that do you not? If so then it's time to let it go. If you do not recall that then now you know and it's time to let it go. Either way it's time to let it go. Surely we can find more to talk about than a call that happened almost 10 years ago.
Bill..... Prior to my comments in this Tenn-Fla topic... a topic not started by me.... another post is talking about the "black helicopters" razz jazz and then you bring up the refs. An irresistible invitation I guess....... 8)
Actually the word "Black" was not mentionsed but the bait "helicopters" was taken hook line and sinker!
Here's what will happen: Both teams will go neck and neck in the first half.....maybe even a 17-17 tie at the half. Then....like last week I see the UF defense finding it's way and throttling up the Vol attack...."cramping their style" just enough..... .....in order lto allow the UF offense to outscore the Vols 10-7 in the second half for a 27-24 win. Big plays: Tenn. Bray to the WRs for two long TDs... 6 sacks by the Tenn defense UF: Gilleslee on a 35 yard TD run Andre Debose on a 65 yard punt return blocked punt by the UF special teams 5 sacks by the UF defense 2 ints by the UF defense
Some history of the rivalry Florida-Tennessee Boils Blood Before and After Game There's ten of them, here's an oldy goldly
LOL! The old hose-down trick. ND has been accused in the past of letting the grass gow higher when we play fast teams. Nowadays, with how our team speed has improved, we'd be hurting ourselves to do that.
Just don't shoot at them. May have Hydrogen. Palardy needs all the help he can get lately. However, distance is not usually the problem. Accuracy is. The kid misses extra points!
Derrick Brodus to start for the Vols!!! This is the walk on kicker that was brought on for the MTSU game last year. The campus police had to go get him from his dorm when the starter was out and the replacement was sick. His record kicking for the Vols: 4 for 4 on extra points and 2 for 2 on field goals. This is great news for Tennessee fans that are getting tired of Palardy's misses.
Yup, all good things for the game of college football. Also, this (at least for a week) breaks the constant streak of attention in college football centering around Tuscaloosa or Baton Rouge.
I think this game will tell us a lot about both teams. I know that there has been speculation about both coaches future. I personally am impressed with both of them.
Watched Mark May and Brian Griese talk about the game, they both thought that Tenn QB Bray and his "fast" wR's would be too much for the Gators and picked the Vols.
I'd rather take a crotch kick by Cindy's psycho, dropped off at the wrong door, take care of me, pay my way, you owe me, entitled, sister. Not that I don't love family. These idiots never get a Tennessee game right. It thrills me when they pick the other team!
