Are you willing to lay a little money on that statement Tom? : ) At one time in the mid 80's Miami broke the record for the most mileage ever traveled by a Div I team with 28,000 miles. This is only Miami, I have no idea about FSU... From 1990 to the present (most teams were played several times), I stopped counting but BYU and others will be in the mix as well. This is not counting bowl games, only regular seasonal play. The trappings of conference play does make it harder to schedule but it is possible. Miami has recently played Ohio St, Oklahoma and Texas A&M while in the ACC but it was easier when we were independent. Kansas St Oklahoma Texas A&M Colorado Houston Washington UCLA Arizona St Baylor Arizona San Diego St Arkansas Tulsa Oklahoma St Long Beach St Texas Christian Iowa Kansas Texas Tech California
What I thought Ralph. FSU's rep as the sod stealer didn't come from stealing their own sod after wins. RE: UF and conference play. Mebbe the Gators should have squeezed in a little road trip to Oregon between Bama and LSU.....
Miami's future non conference play 2012 9/8 - @ Kansas State 10/6 - vs. Notre Dame (Chicago, IL) 10/13 - vs. Bethune-Cookman 11/24 - vs. South Florida 2013 9/7 - vs. Florida 11/30 - @ South Florida TBA - TBA TBA - TBA 2014 9/13 - vs. Memphis 9/20 - @ Nebraska TBA - TBA TBA - TBA 2015 9/5 - @ Toledo 9/12 - vs. Nebraska 9/26 - @ Memphis 10/3 - vs. Cincinnati 2016 9/3 - vs. Toledo 10/8 - @ Notre Dame 2017 11/25 - vs. Notre Dame
That's OK Miami fans have had that look for ten years now and may be a few more before its over... :x
With all the ability of the Internet, you settled on a picture of OSU fans to depict NU fans?.......oooohhhhhhh Doc.......
Ralph, Miami's out of conference schedule looks pretty interesting. However I only see two games West of the Mississippi, Kansas State and Nebraska.
Bill we knew Florida was picking up the slack west of the Mississippi so we gave in and decided to see the sights in South Bend for a couple years.
