How do you Gators feel about the criticism that Meyer focuses too much of the offense on Tebow?

WRT criticisms of Meyer and his philosophy, strategy, and or tactics ...... I don't consider anything until I know the source of the comments. So very much of the commentary and banter is just mindless nonsense. I won't listen to a network broadcast. Instead I'll mute the TV and listen to the Gator Radio Network show. And, at times, when Mick Hubert wears on me .... and he does .... I'll throw something like Allman Bros Live at the Filmore East into the changer.

Personally, I can second-guess after a bad play or game lost ..... but don't have a problem with what Meyer's done. Heck, had K Moore not fumbled and/or Tebow not bounced the ball off C Ingram's helmet ..... we could very easily be talking about a #2 or #3 ranking with 1 loss .... and Tebow being near the top of many Heisman lists.

I'm just hoping UF gets a shot at the "nasty corndogs" in Atlanta.

BTW .... I wonder what Nick Saban thinks about LSU being able to recruit and sign Ali Highsmith and Keiland Williams.

On a neutral field last night I think the Gators would have won, which if you guys can get to Hotlanta portends very well for you.

I think Nick Saban has to worry more about almost losing to Houston at home.

Terry, all it takes these days for someone to get noticed with their criticism is to get on a keyboard and type away. Many of them don't understand that much about what goes on but just love to criticize.

I've noticed that there is much more unhappy fans on the internet than in the stadium and I think that is because people who are unhappy will vent while those that think things are find tend to not vent.

Having said that, I think anyone who is accusing Meyer of paying to much attention to the offense doesn't understand him. Our defense last year was a big part of our success, a really big part.

This year the defense is young and going through growing pains. We have good defensive coaches and good young players.

Last night we ran into a team who's players are as talented but more experienced. We have a lot of 18-19 year olds playing who are very talented, but 21-22 year old players who are very talented will have the advantage.

I am very happy with Meyer's approach and am trying to learn to ignore people who fit the description above.

But I don't find it easy.

If LSU doesn't make 5 fourth down plays the Gators win, I am hoping to get back to Atlanta and play them again after our defense has 6 more games under their belt.

That will not be an easy task.

    Well.......

<t>The game lived up to the deserved hype. I cannot get over how good Tebow is and anyone that is a Gator fan that is whining about how the kid is used IMO is out to lunch. Florida nearly pulled this one off last night. You better get them this year as in the next two Florida is going to challenge for another title.<br/>
Oh one othet thing can the freshman corner Haden play or what? If I have his name wrong Bill let me know.</t>

Hey a win is a win. Just ask Michigan, USC, Florida, Wisconson, W. Va., Rutgers, etc. etc. I would like to hold on to some of these early leads that we get. I think Saban may have a quarterback problem to solve.

    KP..

<t>Houston always rolls on offense and they cause everyone problems. They never play enough defense to get over the top but nobody wants to play them. On Saban and Bama I doubt anyone is real thrilled about catching them in a couple years the way they are recruiting. That program will be fun to watch.</t>

You spelled Haden's name right Larry. He is a player and never played defense until he came to Florida. Him and Major Wright the free safety are both true freshmen and I'm really glad they are Gators.

    Bill;

Sitting with two weeks to go with a tortuous cast from the toes to the upper thigh.

My knee feels perpetually hyperextended and my foot is incessantly trying to get squeezed into a boot two sizes too small.

No bath since last Tues. and I can't sit at the table for more than 5-10 minutes tops without serious pain.

    It is very....very trying.

    Thanks for asking.

Hang in there MCG as Don says things will get better.

It sounds like you didn't have to have an operation?

I hope you have a laptop to enjoy Skybox while laid up.
