He is a tough kid. He takes his game very seriously as you can tell by his facial expressions at the plate. My one fault with him is the many called third strikes he takes. Moishe Pena sure has fooled me and every one else....man what a reversal of form by the big guy!
Agreed. Jeter dove prone in the hole. Sometimes that play doesn't even draw a throw but with runners in scoring position you try for the out. With no time to plant a foot throw, he flipped the ball across the infield. It was high but arrived in time. A snow cone in the glove is an out. A snow cone dropped is an error - by the dropper. Whether it's an outfielder dropping a fly or an infielder getting the ball kicked out of his glove (Phil Rizzuto/Eddy Stanky). Cairo had possession and lost it. If the runner had safely ducked a necessary high tag, there's a question of a hit or an error on the throw pulling the infielder off the bag. But Cairo gloved the throw and lost it on the tag. Tough error but it's Cairo's.
