Dang turns out the Red Sox pitcher was doctoring the ball last night...maybe with Vaseline or maybe with Guacamole, you can't tell. This article says that sometimes pitchers use snot...eew..gross....Corey tell me that is just a rumor. Please. :)

Oh yeah, all that crap is true. Every time you rub the ball down, you're doing so in an effort to dull, doctor or alter the ball. Where do you draw the line? Who knows, who cares. These guys have a postage stamp strike zone, they get to wear armor and they are worried about the ball being smudged.

****, should we have Lester leave some on the mound for the Cardinals pitchers as well?

I haven't watched a ton of baseball this year, so I didn't know this coming in, but it gave me room to doubt the Cardinals chances here. They don't have a left handed starter. That was a claim made by the announcer last night, and I gotta tell you, the way to beat the Sox is LHP and a bullpen that can keep them moving. If you let the Sox set a lineup to face right handed starters, you're going to face a whole lot of power in the lineup.
