Attention world: I must agree with MCG for the possible peace and quiet on The Skybox. Florida has been totally screwed by the refs. I personally paid for each one of the 5 calls that went against them over and above the four called against Tennessee. Yes I will sing in harmony with MCG BEFORE each Florida game starts. Tom, Not so much that the refs are "bought" but let's just examine the disparity and uneveness in the calls of the last two UF trips to Knoxville. It was apparent in the specific ways I describe that last night it was a reality and not a conspiracy theory and I guess it just frustrates you when I point out specifics. My nephew who grew up in Michigan and goes to WMU in Kzoo and who is a MSU fan and a OSU fan called me in wonderment at the disparities by the refs last night. I guess he just full of it too or maybe...just maybe...he is not looking at things with checkerboard glasses.
As I have stated many times MCG, everyone here has seen the rath of the refs. Everyone has had bad calls go against them. YOU are the only one that harps on them. While others are commenting on plays, you are commenting on the refs. That is your only focus. You win the game and the only thing you have to talk about is how you got screwed. Pathetic!
MCG when was the last time UF truly got beat by the other teams play? I'd like to know when that was.

Try this comparison: The collective totals for UF-UT in penalties for the 2004 and 2006 football games is: UF - 17 penalties for 142 yards UT - 6 penalties for 54 yards I wonder Tom if you have actually seen the two teams play each other in these two years. Did Florida really appear to you to be that much less disciplined than Tenn? Has Tenn been that well coached in these years? Another factor that may play into this is that you have not had the luxury of hearing the TV announcers comments since you have probably been at the games. Hey I am just trying to justify why you feel the way you do and are on a different page than me or many other neutral and/or Gator fans. You seem to be a reasonable and fair guy otherwise.
I hardly consider the TV annoucners comments anything other than their opion. Most of them are idiots who don't seem to know much about football if you ask me.

I agree a conspiracy is a strong suggestion but disparity and uneveness and incorrectness and ineptness are words that come readily to mind. 17-6 is almost 3 to 1. Do you guys truly believe that UF has been that much more in violation of the rules in these two games in Knoxville?

MotorCity, you need to get off this crap. While I didn't like a couple of the calls either I don't look at it as if they are trying to get the Gators. You might be interested to know that there are many Tennessee fans who think the referees cost them the game with the roughing the passer call. I really don't understand your obsession with the referee thing as if the whole SEC is out to get us! I just don't believe that and feel sorry for you if you do. We won a tough game in a tough environment and us Gators should be happy.
Bill, I don't believe in the "refs are out to get us theory"....for the most part.. but there are times when the officiating is abominable and at best inept. Against FSU in 2003 was of course on top of that list but the last two times in Knoxville the refs have been in that category. There is no way that they are doing a good job in these two games when the penalty count is 17-6 against the Gators and there are several clear instances where the refs are not doing their job properly or fairly and it affects the game. You bet I will always complain when this is the "crap" we get on the road or at home...SEC or not when it comes to officials.
