This should be a good game. Tennessee is playing at home and is pumped up because they want to win the game for a couple of their players who were pretty badly injured last week.

Ainge is looking good this season, I never understood what happened to him last year. He's a very good QB who I fear Sat.

But the Gators will show up ready to do battle!

" I don't buy for one minute that the ref crew has that much effect on the outcome of many games."

Bill, I never said "many" games are decided by the referee's gaffe/bias but when it does occur like you so thankfully referenced the FSU debacle of 2003 it is abominable and it negates the entire outcome of the game. I don't think there are many Gator fans out there including you (I hope) that think FSU actually beat Florida in 2003.

Lot of trash talking going on over on Gatorsports message board but this one is pretty good as a response to a Tenn fan talking it up:

"I just hope the team can get up for the game, this being the first non-bowl team we've played this year.."

Terry, AF is the real deal. Their offense is something foreign to us. Even though Florida has better players than AF, I see us containing UF better than AF.

I don't know if you know haw the game unfolded. AF marched it down the field 5 to 10 yards a pop to score the first 7 points. We scored a FG in a subsequent march down the field. AF settled for a FG on their next possession while we scored a TD... Game tied 10 to 10. We shut them down until the 4th quarter while scoring another 14 points ouselves. We were driving for another score to go up by 21 when Ainge threw his only interception. This charged the AF offense to put together another long drive. They scored and then kicked a successful onsides kick. They moved the ball down the field and scored with 1:30 left in the game. They didn't want overtime so they tried a 2 point conversion that was unsuccessful. Game score 31 to 30. They attempt another onsides kick and recover only to have an offsides penalty negate that effort. Their next attempt at the onsides kick was unsuccessful. We recovered the kick and ran the clock out.

Our defense was on the field way too long in the 4th quarter. Any team that has AF on the schedule better brush up on the triple option and their special teams better be ready.

Terry, yes I've eaten Gator Tail, it didn't make enough impression on me to order again. :)

MCG, the Gators lost to the ACC refs in 2003 in the Swamp. However we did lead and only had to stop the Noles one more time but they threw a 50 yard td to beat us.

I think Tennessee should win this one at home, but the wildcard is Ainge. He's the Bill Buckner of college football and he's always one banana peel away from historic disaster...

As you alluded to Bill this scenario never had a chance to unfold with even a poorly officiated game instead of the out and out dishonesty that prevailed that day.

Back to THE game on Saturday....if Tenn had so much trouble with the AF option why does no one think that Meyer's spread option will pose similar problems? As I recall last year UF's lone TD was scored on an option running play to Caldwell the UF wide reciever in the first half.
    Hmmm.......

I doubt if anybody fears the option with Chris Leake reluctantly running it.

"The maximum intensity of light emitted by black body radiation is at a
wavelength given by the Wien Displacement Law which says: Wavelength of maximum intensity in meters times temperature in Kelvin = 0.0029."

    No surprise to me......

Florida gets the first break on the first play from scrimmage. Ainge floats one and the great Florida DBs make him pay. However, Florida can't capitolize and has to punt. Tennessee's Rogers makes a mental mistake and catches the punt on the six yard line. Tennessee starts in a hole.

Leake lobs one up as to say "I'm returning the favor." Tennessee intercepts and starts to fire on at least 7 cylinders. Tennessee nets a field goal out of its efforts. Florida 7 Tennessee 3
