Well, case in point here guys. I recently moved from Decatur to Hartselle, Alabama. I applied for my new ID and I still haven't received it . I moved here in August. When I went to get my new ID, they asked me to turn in my old one. I only turned in one (I had a DL and a state ID). Thank God I kept one because they tried to keep me from voting because my address on my ID didn't match my new mailing/voting address. Luckily, I brought my voter identification card that told me where my new polling place was. Point being, life isn't a series of round pegs that fit into round holes. Hell, just because the dude is some homeless guy without an ID, does that mean he doesn't get to vote? Because I moved at the 1st of the month, and my state is a GOP led ***********, should I not have the right to vote? Stuff happens and it happens a lot easier than you seem to realize.
So...you got to vote. You haven't convinced me yet... Certainly not to the point where efforts to establish ID are characterized as "voter suppression"...problems can be ironed out.
Sure...and since he's got no address and no ID he can vote as many times as he wants. Hell, it's better than voter suppression.
I had to make a huge stink to get to vote. Perhaps I should have included that, or placed more emphasis on it. But assuming there aren't millions of hoards of homeless roaming district to district tipping the scales, I really think it's a lot more hype than substance to this issue.
