It all comes down to can the Irish OL give the new QB's and RB's sme room. I think we are just fine at WR/TE and I think our defense will be just fine as well. I mean after all with our hands tied by Rick Minters mulitple read defense last year and Tech having All World WR Calvin Johnson and a 4 year starter at QB we only gave up 10 points to them on the road. So I'm not really worried about their offiense smoking our defense. But I am worried about their very good and very experienced front 7 vs our young but talented OL. The OL will get a baptism of fire tomorrow can they survive and give us the protection we need to get the offense rolling? Stay tuned boys and girls. Terry
My best guess is that we're going to see some multiple TE sets. We've got the tight ends to do it and you can run or pass out of those formations. You also get a set of three 6'6" receivers, with bigger backs instead of the munchkins... Come on Charlie! Come on Corwin! Go Irish!!!!!
"You open with Western Kentucky and you still have time to rap Notre Dame? " I am in fact rapping on the Irish...like many. I am not rapping on their schedule and believe me....Florida's schedule will be tough also...very tough when all is said and done. I am glad actually that such a young UF team gets a game like this before the SEC schedule commences. Actually it is a nice progression of sorts because Troy is a better test than WKU and then up steps Tenn.
We need cameras on this site... you could NOt be keeping a straight face after saying that. Good luck today. I hope you guys don't murder anyone.
I guess the 1-AA is tougher than Division 1 ( APPSt)?? In any event yes I said that with a straight face and I mean it. Florida's young inexperienced players can use these tune-up games and sometimes...as Michigan proved today....they can be more than a tune-up. Unbelievable....jaw-dropping finish to the AppSt-Michigan game.... ....an upset for the ages......
