I remember seeing King, Court-Smith, and Goolagong play and I don't remember them having to grunt in order to play championship tennis. Of course when I was playing and going to see the best play it was at Forrest Hills and the tournament was the US Amateur. I've got some interesting tennis stories including my sister Kerry dating Vitas Gerulaitis but perhaps some other time.
