Don't let the truth get in the way, Terry. UCLA's last TD was a pick 6 by their backups. The TD before that was a fairly long run by their backup, backup RB. UCLA's starting TB scored with something like 10 minutes+ left in the 4th. Don't believe me? You don't have to. You can watch it yourself.
correction: Skip Hicks scored with 13:20 left in the 4th. The internet and youtube is such a terrible thing.
Ha ha busted.. Point is nobody has to score 66 points when they are already up 42 and the other team is whipped. But **** happens, Bobby Bowden once said that it wasn't his job to stop his team from scoring. Given the Saban/Harbaugh dynamic I 'd have been just fine with him taking a page from Woody and going for 2!
Hell's bells, he's not holding his lead...he's piling on and running up the score...Geez, KP...take a fricking knee, will ya?
Now that is funny! Good one Stu! I don't know what happened. I couldn't hit the floor with my hat in the regular season, but I'm shooting bullseyes in the dark with the bowl games.
And I've commenced sucking just enough to let Corey get by me. I cant even beat a Zombified California boy!!
Not related to the Bowl Mania...but Tua is announcing his decision. It's interesting that it's a joint press conference with Saban. That would make you think he's going to return to Alabama. Personally it would seem to me that he'd be better off going to the NFL even if it means he'll drop in the draft. He could go to the NFL, accept a rookie contract of lesser value, then it might be wise for him to not play and focus on his continuing rehab and getting back to 100% health. Where as if he goes back to Alabama, the only possible benefit would be showing the NFL he's back to where he was pre-injury and move back to the top 10 or so in the draft and a bigger rookie contract. But what if he's not the same player, esp early in the season and what if he suffers another injury. He's now had both ankles operated on and the hip. Seems to me to be too big of a risk.
A tough decision either way in my opinion. I think he is going to stay at Alabama, but not an easy decision either way. One of those golden globes with all the answers might be welcomed!
I am conflicted here. I am ok with any decision he makes as long as it is what he wants to do. I hope that all of the media (and fan) attention doesn't prevent him from making a decision based on what he and his family think is best for him.
Well he's going to the NFL. I think that is the right decision. Of course it all depends on who drafts him, what their needs are and what Tua's rehab progress has been, but it wouldn't seem like a bad idea to not play him and let him rehab and sort of bring him along slowly with the goal being for him to be 100% go for the 2021 season.
Tua is going to the NFL. I think they're going to lose a few more to the NFL than they anticipated, but they will still be loaded next year. Mac did quite well in his appearances for the Tide. Breaking up that incredible stable of WRs will hurt, but they appear to recruit well.
I think Alabama has 5 guys now going to the NFL including Tua. But that seems like a pretty typical situation for Saban. Lots of young guys got to play this fall due to injuries, that will help their development. Other thing no body is talking about but I think for the 1st time in awhile Alabama won't need to be breaking in a new Coordinator, that has to be a +
I hope it works out for Tagavolua. He seems like a great guy and has been a great representative for Alabama. To be honest, I am more concerned about replacing the wide receivers. With 4 very high quality wr's, other teams were not able to double team anyone and we could almost always get good matchups somewhere. Let's see how Tua's younger brother does next summer also. We also have a highly regarded qb coming in. I think he is already enrolled.
Davanta Smith just announced he was coming back. Jeudy is going into the draft. That means that so far, one wide receiver is going and one is staying.
