Corey, I watched part of it and that wasn't good defense. That was just poor quarterback play. The qb ratings for one of the qbs was 1.7!
The Clemson players are still not cleared to play. Dexter Lawrence claims he did not take the banned substances purposefully that they must have gotten into his system through hair products or creams. Since it's a hot topic somebody found this on the USDA site about Ostarine. So I'm betting that those players ( and there might be more on the Clemson squad who have not been tested) got some supplements that were not approved by their trainers. They may not have known that Ostarine was in them, but were told by somebody that they were really good and worked well. So they took them and didn't ask their training staff.
It's hard to understand why a player would take a supplement that was not approved by the team staff in this day and age.
I agree, but it happens in the NFL, MLB, NBA, Olympic Sports, etc. The drive to compete and get an edge and also to recover from injury better and faster no doubt are the driving factors. In virtually every case I read about the athlete usually denies it or says he didn't know and thought they were OK. They never answer the question why they didn't take them to the training staff to get approval, I know the answer..it's because they knew they wouldn't be approved but were convinced that they worked and wouldn't be detected in blood tests.
Best game of the Bowl season Baylor beats Vanderbilt. Of course it was defense optional game, but Vandy's Ke'shawn Vaughn and Baylor's Charlie Brewer both were spectacular. Another B12 Bowl Victory!
oooh, Georgia's top corner Deandre Baker decides not to play in the Sugar Bowl vs Texas to prep for NFL draft. Sam Ehlinger approves of this!
KP, I believe one of the TCU backs had 190 yards on 30+carries. I still believe he got the bulk of those yards on a few individual runs. That whole game was both defenses putting the other team's offense in a passing down and then picking them off. It was ridiculous.
It's going to be interesting to see how the players who have opted out playing in the bowl games will affect the outcome, plus those who have been suspended? To my way of thinking some teams will definitely be affected, while others not so much. The trick in the contest is to make the right picks and I am willing to bet some of us are going to be disappointed?
Yeah a lack of common opponents makes it more difficult to begin with, now some aren't even the same teams that played during the season.
