I promise you that guy has some lame excuse like nobody deserves to be unanimous, or he voted instead for somebody who he thought deserved a vote and that not giving Jeter the vote didn't matter. I read one time that some voters vote for obscure players who they think will never get in the HOF but feel that something they did made them worthy of at least receiving a vote as some sort of reward for the good deeds that they did at one time.
