Very jealous of you AJ... I so want to catch a game there.

    WOW!
Huge play by OSU to end possible MSU rally with one out.
Shot to 3rd for line out, and then double off the runner at 2nd.
    HUGE.
That has to really deflate the Bulldogs...

    Finals start tonight.

Ark starter is Blaine Knight who is 13-0 and a 3rd round pick of the Baltimore Orioles and the Oregon State starter is the controversial Luke Heimlich, who had a great season and if not for his sex offender status would have been a 1st round pick. This could be his last game as a pitcher, ever.

Just on the several boards I participate, there is no sympathy for Heimlich, in fact I'd say the majority think Oregon State should have never let him back on the team once it was known what he did.

They (Arkansas) took out a whole page last week in the Omaha World Herald. It was the top ten reasons why we should root for the RazB's. Some of them were:

Our manager used to be yours
We're the closest CWS team to you
We call ourselves Omahogs now.

    GO HOGS!

That's exactly what I thought also Sid. As soon as they threw the Omahogs name in there, I was sold. Great propaganda!....besides, their fans are nutty, and that usually appeals to me anyway.

Turns out that Beavers bite and they last a lot longer than people give them credit for... series tied at 1 going for a winner-take-all tomorrow.

I kept waiting for Oregon State to erupt and they did in the 9th inning with that home run. Tough loss for Arkansas!

Unbelievable ending to the game last night. Pop fly to end the game, the Hogs champions and no one catches. A HR changes it all.

Between the women and mens college World Series quite a number of games were won with a HR either after a ten gets life with what should have been the third out.

    Go Hogs.

That pop fly is going haunt the Hogs...they would have been champions...now they are not and Oregon State has it's 3rd CWS Championship.

Literally everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, for Oregon State through the first game and a half. They finally got things/breaks going their way. Either way, it was a great World Series.

So Corey, did OSU overuse the freshman pitcher?

The kid gave all that's for sure. He beat Miss State, then threw an inning of relief in game 2 vs Arkansas, and the complete game 2 hit shutout in the Championship the next day. That's 3 games in 5 days for a 19 y/o.

That's borderline abuse...which I think is somewhat common in college when you get to the CWS. I think the LSU coach previous to the current one was a big abuser of his staffs arms when it came to the playoffs.
