    TCU punches out the Swampkitties.
    Poor Kitties...

LSU pitching was pretty bad... walking in a run early.

Getting down to the nitty-gritty now.
    :)

Frogs doing better than you predicted. Have to beat Vanderbilt twice now, that's going to be tough.

They definitely had LSU's number which I didn't expect.
Looks like they aren't close to Vanderbilt tho.
Down to a few more outs with a big deficit.

Vanderbilt has the best team. The MLB draft demonstrated that. They will be tough to beat.

A repeat of last year's championship series, Vanderbilt vs. Virginia. The cream has risen to the top. Kudos to all the teams who battled, who played their hearts out, but who came up just short. Once again, it's been a great CWS. It's been lots of fun to watch, regardless of the final outcome.

Virginia struggled this year to a .500 record in the ACC and finished behind Miami in the Costal Division, didn't have a single player on the 1st team all ACC. They were predicted to be the top ACC team preseason by a large margin. I assume they must have had some injuries or something that kept them from reaching their potential till the NCAA's got going.

    Go Wahoo's!!

Been down with a cold and didn't get to watch game 1.
From what I read it was more of the same - good pitching and timely hitting for the Commodores in a 5-1 win.
They can wrap up back to back titles tonight.

I like both teams. Naturally, I'd prefer that our ACC brothers win, but I'd be OK with a Vandy win.

Nice win for Virginia over a game Vanderbilt team. That's the beauty of the sport of baseball. You can never count out the underdog. It was a great CWS.
    Congratulations Wahoos!

    Oh yes, almost forgot......

    ACC!

Virginia turned out to be quite a surprise and a freshman leading the way no less! They finished with a 46-24 record.

Great win for UVa...Brian O'Connor was once an Asst at Notre Dame, in fact he was the Asst on our CWS team back in the 2000 or 2001. Virginia finished the season 7th in the ACC, injuries were a factor as they were picked to be one of the top teams.

    Congrats to them!

    ACC baseball!!!
