Both of my sisters are anti-vaxxers but also evangelical in their opposition to the covid vaccine in particular. Doc describes them perfectly in his post above. They are on FB daily posting anti-covid vax stories and being openly critical of anyone who is "stupid enogh to put that poison in their body". They are infuriated that my wife and I have been vaxxed and boostered. One of them actually got the vaccine in order to see her daughter graduate from Syracuse. She now claims she suffers a myriad of side effects that have totally debilitated her for months even though she wallpapers FB with photos of her very active lifestyle. Sadly it has affected our personal relationship.

So sad....George, in reading that I was thinking that is just a microcosm of what damn social media seems to be doing to everybody socially and politically...just a platform for everyone to get all worked up and pissed off at each other. :(

Remember when it was just an electronic bulletin board where guys argued about football?

Social media is probably the end of our great experiment...

I got the Moderna booster yesterday at the VA. Yes, they were open just for that. They started at 0800. My appt was at 0945. By my estimate, there were 50 plus Vets there, and they did a 15 min spread in appts, so I think quite a few in the Lincoln area got their booster. The dose was 1/2 of what the 2nd shot was. I'm feeling effects today, but nothing like the 2nd one, which took me out for 24 hrs. I chose yesterday because NE was idle, and I didnt want to feel bad twice.

New variants of Covid have been reported found in South Africa. Stock Market futures are already showing the fear. WHO is apparently meeting on the issue. Here we go again.

I'm stunned... a cold virus has mutated again.
    Who could have predicted it?

Kesley and I were talking yesterday and he brought up another "troubling" item.
There is data to support that Omicron is the best defense against Covid. It's super contagious, but has far fewer severe outcomes than the predecessors. However the immune response it causes creates much higher resistance to ALL variants than any jab.
And yet the government and big pharma want boosters and other protections to keep Omicron from doing this...
    Hmmmm....

No doubt that Pharma and the Dems are sleeping together. Pfizer was a week away from filing for approval of its vaccine on the date of the 2020 election yet they withheld an announcement until after their lapdog was elected. When asked why he hadn't said anything the CEO said that he didn't know. Anyone believe that a company would be a week away from filing on a multi billion dollar drug and the company head did not know?

I would beg everybody to investigate and document the truth of such outlandish accusations before forwarding them onward. That article was from the Canada Free Press and was referring to an article posted in the AAPS. Both are highly questionable sources in my opinion. Bias, bias, bias. Check them out. Check around. Ask your doctors and nurse friends, who are thrust into the middle of this now outlandishly political dogfight. They are working their asses off trying to wean patients off ventilators and get them out of the hospital.

I don't have time to factcheck articles nor do I wish to conduct interviews of various individuals to discover whether or not every thing sent to me is 100% accurate. I know that there have been multiple instances where deaths in auto accidents or shootings have been attributed to Covid. The assumption has been that it is economically beneficial to the hospital. I guess if you criticize members of the medical community you'll get blowback because of bias, bias, bias.

Whatever, Gip. Those articles were (to me) the equivalent of all the articles citing evidence that the moon landing was a hoax. I think fact checking before you send something on is worthwhile.
